I just feel it's a dry run for something else they have planned.
Pretty much everything else they have done "because of covid" has had an ulterior motive.
There is no group that is more devious and diabolical than the democrat party.

Its not the democrat party, its the establishment (which includes corporations and the media).
As to the motives - seems to be a data collecting operation as well as normalizing visits from the fed gov to our front doors.

They want to do exactly what the brown shirts did in the 30’s , disarm you , and make you obey . Biden won the election hands down and if you don’t agree they want to bring you to a camp. At this point nothing can be put past these people .

I'm guessing they're going to be making notes of who's got the US flag out front, who has pro-Trump bumper stickers, or otherwise displays any kind of indication of wrongthink.
When they're found out for what they're doing, we'll be told it's "an isolated incident" or "the actions of individual canvassers".

Considering the lack of police presence in some areas, I bet a number of canvassers may just disappear never to be seen again.

It probably has nothing to do with Covid. They want someone to get shot so they can go after the 2nd Amendment again. I hate commies/totalitarians/dims, or what ever they call themselves these days.

While maybe not 100% an ulterior motive, "because of covid" has become a universal excuse/justification for EVERYTHING...government and private sector related.
But certainly you have to be skeptical. What is a "door knocker" going to do to "convince" people who don't want to take the vaccine beyond what is already being done? For nearly 16 months now the topic of covid and information regarding such has DOMINATED society. The information available (pro or con) about the vaccine is easily available to every American. Some dildo with a pamphlet interrupting your evening dinner isn't going to give anyone anything they don't already know and/or have immediate access to. By now if you want the vaccine you have taken it. If you don't, you haven't. But it does provide an opportunity to gather further information about people who have/have not or don't intend to take the vaccine.
With this issue becoming so politicized, what purposes for which that information could be used is vast. So why waste such time and resources on such a fruitless endeavor (these door knockers aren't going to change anyone's minds)...unless increasing the vaccination rate isn't actually the purpose of the endeavor
