What is stopping Democrats from simply arresting all their opposition?

I'm not even being hyperbolic on this. Is there some sort of limiting principle to what they wouldn't do keep their power? I see no serious resistance against any of their other over reaches, they have all federal law enforcement, courts, military, etc working directly for them, wouldn't they naturally just turn it up another level or two?
And why stop at political opposition. They could take out the dissidents in the media or just regular citizens. What's stopping this?

But seriously, let's say the DOJ charged every member of the freedom caucus tomorrow, Trump, and DeSantis as well. and also arrested Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, or whoever they feel is a threat to them.
What would happen? We'd probably bitch and complain, but honestly that is about it.

I'm starting to become convinced that this is part of the reason they're pushing all of the tranny, ESG, anti-white, etc... stuff.
They want the right to snap and start fighting back so they have an excuse to get violent and start the mass arrests.

The Ukraine isn’t winning, but they have definitely given some serious lashes to a global super power with just armed civilians. Now imagine if it was a civil war/unrest. Though many patriots will die, many US soldiers/sheep will die. You can’t nuke your own country, your left to fight it out old school urban setting wise. Many, many veterans will fight and have the equal training/skills and firearms. This country will separate.

He wrote something totally out of character for a loyal Dem yesterday. Summary:
'Biden was elected as a Dem centrist. The policies have been dictated by the left wing. These policies appeal to only about 20% of the public. The administration must shift center or they will lose everything in Nov.'
The Dems don't want to do anything that gets bad P.R. But they may not be able to help themselves.
