With DEMs being linked to the media, it's not an attack "on government". It's an attack on partisan government (of the DEMs)

Exactly. The vast majority of Trump’s supporters are solid citizens simply attempting to play by the “rules” of a game in which the rules themselves are constantly in state of flux depending upon ideological and identitarian loyalties.
Yet every post by SFP on this forum is predicated on his belief that Trump’s supporters are brainwashed tools who don’t have the sense to pour piss out of a boot before putting it on. If SFP could overcome that handicap, he would be a much more interesting poster.

It's not crazy to think a New York real estate mogul who flirted with Hollywood is a phony Republican and troll/plant of some sort. That said, the intelligence agencies are absolutely terrified of him for some reason to the point that they went all-in on risky, borderline criminal behavior to set him up. That is the main reason I don't buy that he is a deep state/globalist plant.

Only possible with Trump being exactly the icon referenced in OP.
I'm not saying Trump caused January 6, but the election disruption is exactly the polarizing event that permitted Jan 6, another disruption event (creating more polarizing on the other side and then polarized defense of Trump people).
No actual progress can be done if every discussion goes back to the election or January 6...Trump was the perfectly-inserted lightning rod to provide this constant conflict.

Yes, I saw that. In my post though, I said media and government. Trump was able to get a huge chunk of the population to lose trust in both of those institutions.
Then when you mention media and only talk about them, that discounts the role government has with the media and controlling narratives. If we both believe that elite have a stronghold on government (I think we agree on that, but I don't want to put words in your mouth), and if we both believe that government is in bed with the media (I think we agree jere too) then how can it be at the elite you're talking about don't have a say in the media's narratives?

They lost trust in their partisan opposition and linked those institutions to that partisanship.

Again, you're not stating this correctly.
Media is in bed with the DEMs. When the DEMs act via government, they use the media.
America First Patriots just made that partisan connection. They still trust the government...when their side is running it.
