So, with THE Plan already hatched and with it all levers of power in place -- i.e., Alphabets, courts, logistics, etc, the scenarios were predetermined.
THE PLAY:
As long as Trump WAS CONTAINED and powerless to actually execute substantial policy, THEY WOULD REMAIN IN CONTROL OF THEIR AGENDA. (And "The Right" would be deceived and check-mated by their own hope & expectations.)
Trump voters also became too complacent and confident that things would be re-calibrated eventually. (Not only did things NOT get re-calibrated, they became disastrous by 2020 -- not to mention thereafter.)
Hate to say it but The Plan worked. TO well. CHECKMATE? Appears so (pending some looong held ace in the hole.)
