Sooooooooo .... you're saying he just randomly stumbled across the president of the campus' Young Republican org, like finding a needle in a haystack on that campus ... he randomly stumbled upon her, shot her in the face multiple times .... and it was all just a coincidence?

Seems obvious to me. Pretty white girl with traditional values.

Everything he despises.

Not necessarily. The guy was pretty random once he got started. A variety of students were hit, including an apparent Muslim... Sorry to bother you with facts ...

Link? I’ve seen nothing of this but message board posts.

To shoot someone in the face sitting in the center of a large tiered classroom multiple times in a high stress situation with two different handguns while standing in the doorway - nope. You’re more likely to see an Ivory Bill Woodpecker in Central Park than see that (coming full circle)

You are normally a reasonable poster. You normally do NOT chase nonsensical internet rumors.

What has convinced you that Ms. Cook was "shot in the face multiple times," when there is a complete lack of evidence to that effect?

Because she happened to be there, studying for an Econ exam.

Nothing more than that.

Lol. I agree. I have been fighting about the Ivorybill since 1971 in defense of my mentor, George Lowery at LSU. It's hard for me NOT to respond:)

Cheers

This entire brouhaha is just a microcosm of how this board often seems to operate. Someone decided to look for some random unimportant thing about you and has now become completely obsessed about it.

That ... individual ... will be harassing you about woodpeckers for months now.

In this day and age of advanced technology there has been zero evidence produced that they still exist

No doubt, thx. This place is more fun (for me) when
-we can just stick to the topic
-discuss what the facts might be
-argue about what those facts mean

Of course, others participate for other reasons. I should just recognize that, and not respond to irrelevant personal attacks...the funniest of which is "You're NOT a conservative!" I am, but I don't care what somebody's politics are here. I only care about what they bring to the discussion.

People worry too much about labels.

Constitutionally, I am very conservative. Fiscally, I am very conservative. Socially, I am reasonably liberal. That last point seems to govern for most here.

His inability to control the firearm doesn’t negate that she was the first victim and shot more than once.

Sorry to interrupt your emotional pleas for understanding on behalf of the shooter and those that share his worldview.

Woodpecker harrassment should never be tolerated. A man has to have a line, and this is a fitting one.
