It will be the first smart thing they have done in a long while.
Biden is getting killed in favorable ratings. You make Democrats act to remove him. When the media asks why you don't impeach you cite failure to receive bi-partisan support.

Let us in on the bribery part.

His mere existence was risking several other NY seats. He wasn’t running again anyway. He’s also a moron. Better to just get it over with and not let Santos be around in an election year.
The enemy will use Santos against the Republicans anyway, should have kept the vote and let the people in his district decide his fate. Did you forget Menedez is still casting votes in the senate? And there's another Dim in congress whose name escapes me, who admitted his crimes and he seems to be untouchable.

He wasn’t running for re-election. Better to try and get a GOP replacement in there via special election to try and have the benefit of incumbency in 24.

No, but I fail to see the relevance. The House GOP can’t remove a Senator from New Jersey. Neither can the Senate GOP for that matter.

And that is supposed to be the standard? If the GOP loses a major vote by 1 member, I’ll come back and side with you.
Until then, the guy was nothing but a loudmouth liability.

Trump and Clinton both impeached.Neither was removed. Same scenario with Biden. If you can't remove him, why bother

Comer says he has the votes
That’s pleasant. Now do it.

Then we'll know for certain it is, in fact, just a standard set of GOP leadership. We can finally relax all these feelings of hope.

Let us in on the bribery part.
Comer now has monthly checks coming to Joe from Hunter's shell corp whose sole purpose was international shakedowns. That's in addition to the $240K in "loan repayments" from Joe's brother and SIL.

Is this the ~$1,300 monthly payments?
Last I heard that’s being attributed to a car payment—per CBS News.

He’s not running again. They already know that. There will be a health scare where he has to gracefully bow out. I’m not even being cynical here, that’s the most obvious play. The dude can’t even string together a sentence and is losing ground to Trump.
Newsom won’t lose that same ground and is not a political liability to lose votes like Biden. By political liability, I don’t mean he’s not a piece of shite, I just mean, people who voted for Obama will vote for Newsom. I can’t say the same about Biden at this point.

Who cares about proving bribery? Biden's handling of the Afghanistan pullout and the border is enough to impeach.

No disagreement here. Just pointing out that the “narrative” is already set.
The GOP is awful at messaging. This slow roll from Comer strategy isn’t going to get it done.
Either lay it all on the table concisely and coherently, or, if you don’t have “it” yet, STFU until you do.
Nothing is worth announcing publicly until it’s something incontrovertible.
Posted on 12/4/23 at 5:56 pm to International_Aggie
Well, they have produced no evidence conclusively tying Joe Biden to illegal payments. So, there’s that.

But impeachment hearings would move in that direction. I was not a fan of impeachment (because there is zero chance of removal) until the Comer reveals. Now IMO, they should proceed.

Why would that surprise anyone? They had majorities in the house and senate during the first half of Trumps term and they got nothing done.
The only thing, and I repeat the only thing they've gotten done was SCOTUS appointments. You can attribute that more to Turtle.

Even if they impeached him they wouldn’t go through with a guilty verdict.
Well several Democrats in the Senate would have to go along that, and we know they won’t.

Biden needs to be impeached on principle. What he’s done needs consequences.
Politically, it’s not a good idea. I’d love to see him run again.
