It became a political propaganda battle. When John Barrons troll farm lost power it settled down. I was hoping it would get back to just updates on big news and then poof it’s gone.

That's all it really ever was.
I wish we all could have learned a lesson about what sources of info to trust now, but things are still murky. I made a point at the start of the conflict to just kind of follow alt media to see how the reporting was different. I know the Call of Duty bros in that thread mocked people like Col MacGregor, but can we really say MSM was much better? Also, I think people should be skeptical of the open source intel bros. Much of it is probably CIA/NATO propaganda.

Even a thread talking about a thread being removed devolves into Mainstream media discussion and references to noted independent military thinker Col MacGregor. Sprinkle a little NATO/CIA stuff in there. You got a good gumbo.
Everywhere you go some wingnut is trying to shoehorn their red or blue team personal politics into the discussion.
This is why sports is great, just don’t tune in to people taking about sports, they’ll push politics in there too eventually.
