FFLs already perform background checks on all firearm purchases (even "gun shows" and online purchases).

That's as "regulated" as it should be.

I don't even think you should have to register your vehicle, so frick, HELL NO on a gun registry.

None, they don’t work and only restrict legal gun owners. Plus, we all know that these rabid maniacs won’t stop or be satisfied with some restrictions. Remember when it was “just a statue” being removed? In five years the Dems would want us to be like Australia. How did that work out for the Aussies during Covid when they had given up their guns?

I would be in favor of confiscating all hunting rifles and the handguns of hunters.

Common sense gun laws that specifically remove guns from the people who murder with guns. Sounds simple right? Not racist?

No, I’d do it, I’ll just bring my AR.

Why? They aren't committing mass killings of people.

Oh, I see. You must not be a hunter.

Expect fierce resistance.

Fine, then raise the age to join the military. If 18 year olds aren’t mature enough to buy a rifle or a case of beer, then they aren’t mature enough to sign up for a 6 year committment where they can potentially be shipped off to fight on the front lines of a war zone.

Or judges can just hand down stiffer sentences on the charges based on existing laws. What good are more laws if a judge lets the perp off with a slap on the wrist anyway or activist DA’s don’t prosecute? Democrats fight back on mandatory minimum sentences because its their base getting caught with stolen guns or in possession of firearms with drugs

None . I think republicans in congress should draft a bill that you have to be 21 to own a gun or vote unless your in the military. Democrats would vote it down and show they don’t really care . Even a bill making all parents also be responsible for their children’s gun crimes . Democrats would shot it down too.

Y’all are idiots, did you even read the first post? It was a joke, directly addressing the OP.

None. I would tolerate a discussion on new gun laws when the ones on the books are strictly enforced for a decade.

Are you willing to raise the voting age to 21 as well? What about the age to serve in the military.

My now 22 year old son was serving before he was 21 does that mean he should have been able to man a 6,000 round a minute weapon in his helicopter but not have a rifle for hunting?

How many legally transacted private sales (where the gun isn’t stolen to begin with for example) result in a shooting?

How about we begin with strict enforcement of the laws already on the books instead of taking rights away from law abiding people?

even here we see that anti-gunners success in dividing "hunters" and "assault rifle" users...

Let's be clear, in the end they want to restrict, register and eventually ban all privately-owned firearms. (outside their own security details of course)

No commonly pitched restrictions would have stopped this shooter or any others.

Stop wanting to piss away our ONE true power over potential tyranny.

Only a full firearms mandatory confiscation would stop these shooters.
