liberal arts

Liberal arts are for the rich or famous or (otherwise unencumbered with any real responsibility) to pursue. It is either supported by the participants own free time or their own consuming passion.

In no way should it be considered a necessary function. Therefore, it should NEVER be a topic for public governmental responsibility. We have been providing "tuition support" for these unnecessary diplomas for too long and gives these otherwise unmotivated (for real responsibility) time to free-load while they pursue their own delusions and/or malevolence.

I'll add prolific welfare programs to this list also. No able bodied person should be allowed to ride in the hammock while taxpayers are providing his sustenance. This can only breed the kind of irresponsible behaviors that we have witnessed develop into entire CULTUREs (which then become objects that must also be considered a 'protected class' )

Irresponsible people should be supported ONLY by their own family or friends or some other private charity.

And lastly "jobs that Americans just won't do" should NOT be a consideration for immigration or visas as long as there is an able bodied American who is physically or mentally capable of doing that job.

Unverified troll posters who are allowed to say anything they want without and sort of recourse.

Weak men who spend all day yapping on college football message boards.

Overindulgence & lack of self discipline. Corruption.

This argument is so tired. What do you think will happen to these places and their social programs when the WWII peace dividend is spent? I hate to tell them, but that time is coming like a freight train. Soon, we will no longer be there to keep the peace and those social programs will be turned into rifles, tanks, airplanes, and ships.

It seems that either horribly poor or horribly rich leads to communism.

If your country has both horribly poor and rich that also leads to communism.

The problem is mainly that you have a system that multiplies the rewards for the "victors" of the system and it just perpetuates the inequality and the people at the top ultimately end up with enough power to crush anyone who would challenge their position further. That's what's going on in America right now. Yes our government has helped perpetuate this inequality. The people at the top don't want to lose their spot so they're diving head first into progressivism as a substitute for giving up their power.

The dems may with their words say they support socialism, social justice etc., but they'll never in a million years give up their power or standing in society. They want to have their cake and eat it too.

I would think the 50 years of being inundated by propaganda from schools, news, politicians, and companies probably did it.

As an example, the money the government sent out just ends up in the asset class’ hands. Pretty quickly too. Everyone thinks it’s so great the government is helping them, but it’s just creating a bigger divide

The U.S. would not be nearly as socialist as it currently is had we not allowed women to vote.
I watched a video of older folks living in what was E. Germany. They were young adults living under the Stasi control.
All of them talked about how awful it was compared to life in a free Germany today.
EXCEPT...some women. They said they preferred living under communist control because 'things were stable and predictable.'
Women gladly give up freedom for a sense of the state taking care of them. They are susceptible to the pitch that Equality created by the power of the state is fair and just. What good is freedom anyway?

Lots of factors in play. A major factor was free trade and globalization. The mass shipment of good paying jobs overseas was horrible for families and destabilizing for society.

Allowing monopolies to grow and dominate severely damaged small business and syphoned money out of communities into the pockets of oligarchs. Communities hollowed out.

People graduating from college with massive debt.

Young adults that can get a good job, get married, buy a house and raise a family don't become marxists. Even if we get rid of the radical left regime of Biden, the conditions for an unstable society remain. Much work has to be done after the radical left and oligarchs are broken.

The biggest threat to us going forward are the changing demographics of the nation. Most of these immigrants/illegals do not vote conservative. Take a look at Omar's district, Talieb's district, AOC's district. The more radicals that they get in Congress the quicker it will fall.

Ideology is often like a powerful drug that can render otherwise intelligent people stupid. It's much worse for those not so bright to start with.

Every high school needs to require every student to read "The Black Book of Communism." That would cure the stupids and maybe get rid of some of the leftist teachers too.

The leftists in countries like Sweden have already killed and eaten their golden goose. However, after about 25% of their formerly hard working population stopped working and lived off of the socialist benefits, they have started to retrace their steps.

If a country has too many nannies guiding public policy, too many adults are treated like children.

First of all its not workable socialism, its mixed with capitalism. But lets look at these countries..whats the common factor in these countries? Now after you think about it give me an example (world wide) where a non highly dense white European country that has had "socialism" succeed. After that you come to your conclusion you'll see your premise is actually racist.

Yet, even in with the great prosperity and success the US experiment of govt and free market has brought, we find ourselves as a nation facing a formidable attempt at repackaging socialist ideologies to supplant the core values of the country.

In this context, susceptibility to socialism in a thriving West is the unfortunate reality of having produced enough of a voting public who want what others have but are not particularly interested in exercising the same resourcefulness, delayed gratification, persistence, patience, and work ethic those others did to acquire what they have.

Susceptibility to communism includes all of the above, but is more often achieved due to a lack of a "2nd Amendment" by the target nation.

In the West it stems from lifelong ideological indoctrination into The Man as God Cult of philosophies. From classroom indoctrination, to Hollywood indoctrination, to social media reinforcement- it is ubiquitous from birth. To resist takes a proactive effort and most people are unable to discern the truth and just go with the overwhelming flow of the culture. The Leftist Kulturesmog is overwhelming. They control the entirety of our Cultural Heights.

That’s why we need to not view them as the radical revolutionaries ( they are now the status quo ) but start viewing ourselves as a force of American Rebirth and American Renewal. We are essentially cultural dissidents and we should adopt the strategies of dissidents everywhere- and that is remaining vocal, making them defend everything they do, being in their face 24/7/365, allowing them to fail, and making sure people make the connection between their failed ideologies and our decreasing quality of life.

Economic stagnation and the loss of hope for a better future under the current system in place (real or indoctrinated).
