She isn't conservative and never has been. People like you are gullible and being gullible has been the downfall of this country.

The last conservative to hold office was probably Calvin Coolidge.

Liz Cheney? A big government, censoring war monger? Hardly.

Conservative ideals don't get elected because the money that pays for these expensive campaigns wants access to the federal printing press and federal rule making. What exists in the GOP today is the faction that wants to talk and wage war for money versus a populist faction that wants to focus on national issues. Neither are conservative, but one purports to represent the middle class versus the establishment which only represents globalist wealth.

Liz Cheney is the textbook definition of conservative by any traditional standards.

Something a dipshit would say.

Republicans nominated Dole, McCain and Romney, and your retards claimed they were racist and fringe.

You have no values other than gayness is good, kids are adults and less work for more money.

Does the word ‘conservative’ have any meaning today?
No. Too many disparate groups trying to claim exclusive rights to the word, with Trump populists, SoCons and limited government folks being the three main groups.

This is where it gets confusing. Your point seems to be that being conservative now simply means to support Trump. The traditional view no longer applies?
For ONE group of self-professed “conservatives,” that is a good summary.

If you vote in favor of the appointment of a court justice who doesn't hold an Originalist interpretive philosophy (i.e. their philosophy is that the Constitution is a "living, breathing document the meaning of which can change based on how you feel at the moment), then you're not a Conservative. Hi, Lindsay Graham.
or perhaps it means that our constitution allows the chief executive to appoint Supreme Court justices, with the Senate’s sole role being to weed out patently a qualified individuals,… Not individuals holding philosophy which with a Senator disagrees.

I know having an open border and supporting foreign aid certainly isn't conservative.

How about you tell us what your well-defined “beliefs/ideologies” are, and I’ll tell you I believe the opposite?
How sad, to define yourself solely in terms of the things that you oppose, rather than in terms of the things in which you believe.

It means that you will lay still while they walk on you, but you will do some slight bitching about it for show.

You deduced from that post how I personally define myself?

Also, in a fallen world full of evil and brokenness, a significant portion of one’s political identity should of course include things one opposes.

Do you believe in an abstract goodness? If so, from what do you derive that concept? What does it entail?

Conservatives believe in traditional values, a free market economy, and protecting constitutional rights

Conservative in the modern progressive vernacular is one who things transitioning children is child abuse.

Conservatives role is to help stop the rapid social insanity and fiscal stupidity.

They're not doing a good job on either end. Having two non conservative Republican presidents over the past 20 years don't help at all.

Youre not represented by either party unless you have either a shite load of wealth, or a minority.

It does not necessarily mean what a lot of people who call themselves conservatives consider it to mean.

The conservatives rail against profligate spending then remain curiously silent on the matter when one of their own gets elected President.

They are all about "high character" until one of their own gets caught doing something unethical....then it's a witch hunt.

In todays world a conservative values private property and free enterprise.

So not a leftist pinko commie that is preaching equity and collectivism and the race to the bottom.
