I doubt they touch Roe or Obergefell. Roe has been on the books now for decades, and if I'm not mistaken, Kavanaugh has said he doesn't want to revisit it. Obergefell probably won't be touched either and is less divisive than Roe.
This will have impacts going forward on immigration and protection of the 2nd amendment more than the two mentioned above.

They were barred from the legal construct of marriage
Sounds made up and meaningless.

There are a frickton of things you get from being married (ranging from taxes to automatic transfer of property upon death).
Yeah, I called that subsidy, which it is.

. It should be viewed as nothing more than that from the government's POV
Are you saying we should offer these subsidies to any two persons who choose to contract together?
So if you want to avoid estate taxes you can marry your daughter?
I have to say, your perspective seems pretty silly.

gay marriage
See, now here I was hoping the USSC would declare the ghey unconstitutional and order the creation of the camps immediately...

attack abortion
Again, the courts need to order sterilization for all that seek an abortion... then send them to camps with the gheys...

affirmative action
Maybe the court will make "white" a protected species...

See, now I believe SCOTUS will legalize MJ but only for use in the camps...

You mean back to a time when Andy and Opie were hard core Socialists masquerading as American value Conservatives? Oh, errrrr, wait ...

One thing it almost certainly means is Voter ID laws will be in more states than naught.

I do not believe our courts should dictate who people should love.
quote:Wow. Abortion to save money. How about we terminate current recipients too?
Will SCOTUS realize that allowing states to end abortion will ultimately just lead to an increase in welfare dependence?
quote:Few if any are in prison because of a couple joints. If you're dealing, that's another issue. Alcohol bootleggers had the same issue.
How can anybody call these people real conservatives when they ban a plant that has less harmful effects than alcohol I can buy at my local grocery store?
Ultimately what it means for the future is if you don't get aborted by a democrat, you'll be killed by tax cuts, lack of a Paris climate accord and low unemployment.

Y’all get so up in arms when we say that a politician is gonna come for our guns...something that has quite literally been mentioned as an end-game.
Yet here you are, spouting some of the most illogical fear mongering I’ve seen.

Do you , and others, understand that a government that can outlaw gay marriage can theoretically also outlaw straight marriage? Marriage isn't any of the government's business.

Back to the initial OP question:
Like I said in an earlier post, JUDICIALLY conservative means that they apply the law as written, and don't expand it beyond the wording.
Not all liberal and conservative is alike. It shouldn't matter if you have liberal social views, or liberal financial views; you should still prefer a conservative judge. If the law is on the books, he will enforce it. If there's not a law applying to the case, he will throw it out. Doesn't matter if he thinks it is morally wrong or not.
A conservative judicial protects the people. It tells the rest of the government that if you want to prosecute and punish someone, you better have a well-defined law to justify it. This benefits "liberals" and minorities as much as anyone else- you know the field is level going into court.
