Life- We should never let someone die because they cannot afford a life saving medical treatment. However I do not think we should provide treatments that will only extend a life by a few years. Likewise we should never let anyone starve to death, or die of thirst. I feel like everyone pretty much agrees on this.
Disagree.

People from poor backgrounds should be given enough help

Liberty, but it comes at a price.

Education- Every child should have the right to an education from kindergarten to high school.

Um. Those two are conflicting viewpoints. I mean, ya know. If I was likely to die tomorrow but you keep me alive 3 more years, I think most people would view that as "life saving". If it aint, then nothing is because we ALL will die SOMETIME.

So if somebody has failed to the point where they can't even feed themselves, we should just let them die?
Absolutely not, because that person would undoubtedly have a severe mental disability. What kind of able-bodied person can't stand in line at a soup kitchen or hold up a cardboard sign? Who can't make 5-10 dollars a day?
I'm assuming you're asking what every American is entitled to by government.

Disagree. People are entitled to provide for their own life. If they can't, it is nobody's responsibility to have to provide for these. People will naturally care for them, but they are definitely not entitled to it.

I am here as the ultimate culmination of billions of years of a DNA strand battling against immense odds to extend its own life and duplicate itself. It fought from single cell in the primordial ooze against famine and predation all the way to me.
I'll not dishonor that incredible journey and sacrifice by assuming that all of evolution was wrong and that "everyone should get a trophy".
Sorry. I'll help and I'll cheer. But, I'll also let effort and luck continue its magic to create the next / better BHPs by favoring the ones that succeed and allowing the ones that fail to slip away.

I agree with all of that.

I can partially agree with this. I just read a Swedish study that said men who play golf live 5 years longer than men who don't. Therefore, I believe govt should pay for my green fees plus a cart.

I think most people would agree with what you said and won't have much to add. Except abortion for women

Wonderful. Now, you go out and make the necessary grades to get into medical school, shut yourself off from the world for about 6 years while you finish up and do residency, and then go out and save all these lives.....for free!
Oh, and while you're doing that, make sure you keep your rent, car, insurance, health insurance, gas, utilities and credit card bills current or your deadbeat arse will be kicked to the curb.
now I know there is an issue with emergency rooms and how people go in a lot of time without insurance but get cared for anyway. Let me ask you this. Someone comes in with a gun shot wound he is in critical condition and will die if you don't act on him immediately, do you check for insurance before you operate? Do you find out if he can pay before you operate? I think it is a problem that people can get free care in an emergency clinic, but it is avoidable in that situation. I personally think it is wrong to not save someone's life just because they can't afford it. I can understand how people's view would change when it comes to life sustaining care and mine does to. I just hope no-one would ever think it is ok to turn someone away from an ER in a life and death situation.

Honestly if someone told me they think we should ever turn a dying patient away from an ER, I would have serious doubts about the integrity of that person.
