I see this commonly said, but it misses the point. Would Harris have won an open Democratic primary? I would not expect it given how she did last time though Biden was unsuccessful multiple times before he was finally successful, so you never know.
The problem is this is a completely different electorate in November. The fact is anyone who would have voted for someone different in the Democratic primary will still vote for her in November.
This election will be won on the margins and by turnout operations. Is Harris making inroads in engaging and bringing back younger voters and POC that Biden was losing? At this point, some polls are showing that. Will it last? We shall see. To try to say she bombed out of the last primary, so she will bomb out here just misses the different type of election this is. This will be close either way.

I want to see VA polling in the next few weeks. With Youngkin cleaning up the voter roles curious what happens there.

Open primary would be Newsome or Whitmer. That's why they didn't jump in with Harris. They don't want to kill their careers.

The polls the last 2 days seem to be shifting back Trumps way a little bit. Trafalgar and Rasmussen are right leaning, but cnbc is not. Maybe Walz pick is starting to change the trajectory again.

She'll probably get another bump after the DNC since that usually happens with both parties after their conventions. But then there will be more than enough time for her to level back down to where she should be. I'm not going to worry too much about these polls until October hits.

Funny thing is there was a new poll swing states where people care about the economy and trump leads by 2 to 1 on that so the media is trying to discourage us don't but the big lie
