re: What do we think RFK will actually do regarding our food?

The strong survive because the total state apparatus keeps the psychopaths who would otherwise be bandits and marauders locked in prison. Your ideology is a function of having your cake and eating it too, and it’s collapsing in real time because it only works when a society is moral and has common values (ancestry and religion). We are currently seeing reversion to chaotic tribal politics.

Correct nutritional standards, remove harmful additives, etc

No, the strong are capable of self managing.
Sounds like you require govt to tell you what you can and cannot ingest.

It will make the food more expensive at first but I'm all for it.

People who want to live in constant survival mode like in The Walking Dead are unreasonable and all talk. If they truly wanted to live that way then there are many countries in the Middle East or Africa where they can go fulfill their desires.
We live in a civilized society in America and as a civilized society to maintain that you have to have regulations and standards.

Congrats on the police state saving you from native Alaskans slitting your throat and taking all your shite in under an hour.

The biggest issue with the FDA, in my opinion, is that many of its employees end up working for the companies they were supposed to regulate after leaving the FDA. This creates a potential conflict of interest and might make them more likely to approve things that should be scrutinized more closely.
This is a pertinent issue and it extends beyond the FDA. There is complete academic and regulatory capture at a level that will take a generation to unwind. And I'm not confident that even then such an effort can be successful.

Haiti is total libertarian utopia right now. You don’t even have to leave the hemisphere

Lmao. This hasn't been true about human populations since at least the Neolithic, and looking at human social structures, it likely wasn't true ever.

Thank you. I don’t know what you actually consider your ideology, but to me it seems left center.
What I hope people can come together on are some of these issues RFK is preaching. It is classic old left mindset, but what I am trying to get across to people on my side of the aisle is some ideas of the old left were correct. Anti corporate tyranny, anti war, etc. and it’s a beautiful thing that this has been brought in to this Trump administration. Whether it pans out or not is another discussion, but at least some people are saying the right things.
Here’s a good video on this topic you might enjoy

Because we kill off the strong in war and save the weak through welfare and regulation.
I take you you too require govt guidelines to be healthy.
How do all those healthy people survive without RFK guiding them? Its a miracle!

Because this is blatant progressivism. If Obama had done this yall would be shitting in your poison froot loops.
Textbook in fact.
I was right 8 years ago, populism is the ideology that will drag you people into "Democratic Socialism."
Why do you need the government to keep you healthy?
I don’t disagree about the populism part. For the record I’m not “you people”, I’m a conservative non-Trumper, though I voted for him. And as a side note even though he wasn’t my preferred candidate I do think he will be a great president.
But regulating food safety isn’t inherently left or right, that’s fricking retarded; it’s about public health, like traffic laws or regulations ensuring clean water. It’s not about needing the government to manage individual health but ensuring that the food available to consumers isn’t laced with harmful or overly processed ingredients.
Without reasonable regulations, corporations prioritize profit over health, leading to widespread use of cheap, unhealthy additives. Labeling food safety regulations as 'too left or progressive' overlooks the fact that many public safety standards, such as the establishment of the FDA and food inspection laws, have historically been supported across the political spectrum for the well-being of everyone.
Stop labeling shite.

I would argue that we do a fantastic job regulating food safety as it is.
Youre wanting government to intervene and save those who dont need saving. Its their own choice, let them make it.

You’re not worried about them because you’re protected by the big gov nanny police state.
I’m not worried because my tribe, which ranges from law enforcement to doctors and lawyers, puts in the work.
