What did Rush do (other than be a conservative) that makes the left think he was so evil?

You'd think he was Joseph Goebbels the way they talk about him. Like he was a leading figure in a totalitarian regime. I get that they disagree with his views, but what made him so evil in their eyes?

Their degree of hate is dependent on how much they fear you. IE, the left's hate for Moon Griffon is a '1'. Their hate for Rush was a '10.'
