Trump needed cooperation from senators to achieve a goal, and he failed to secure it on account of the guy whom he mocked for being a POW didn’t cooperate as expected.

Trump blew it.

emissions inspection mandates for annual registration

We dont have that in Alabama

*gasp* you may constantly consider writing your legislators in that state, to get mandated testing implemented.

It's a sad, sad situation, but that may have something to do with all the bad weather and severe storms your state experiences.
a real life example of a progressive that is alarmed that we don't have another tax bill to pay

Wrong. It is a federal mandate for states with large metro areas. Alabama doesn't really have a metro area.

really?

Did not know that

I was pleasantly surprised about the lack of this requirement when I moved here from Atlanta in 2003 and went to register my car, I just assumed it was a state deal

eta - question for LA guys, do ya'll have this requirement (annual emissions testing)? Because Birmingham is a larger city than NOLA...

Improve our immigration issues (worse than ever)

Leave Syria

Leave Afghanistan

Leave Iraq

Leave at least half of the African shite holes we are wasting our time deploying troops.

Build any new wall. Just a couple feet would be a gold star from me.

Oh, it would be nice if his government could decide who will regulate crypto currency, and maybe change the tax policy on it to something less absurd.

Basically, I'm disappointed he's done more for Israel in a week than he has to fulfill his campaign rhetoric.

This.

He's choked on almost everything except helping Israeli interests and talking shite on twitter.

You really missed the point.

Is there ANYTHING we could tell you about (with facts provided) that would change your mind? The same mindset was in place with the dead one and never Trumpers. Logic will not prevail over emotion with you and your cult.

Have a great day.

Yeah, Georgia could abolish it, but then risk losing fed highway funds.

Not sure if related, but Tennessee only has this req for the counties around Nashville and one around the Noog. If you don't live in those 5, no inspection required.

Judges, my most important issue, he has been stellar

Deregulation - my 2nd biggest issue, stellar

Plus, he has kept or tried to keep every campaign promise he made

You're gonna have to do better than this

Great, but this is basically a gimme.

quote:

Deregulation - my 2nd biggest issue, stellar

He's done ok on this issue. What few things he accomplished (as the chief regulator, no less), have been overshadowed by unecessary, freedom robbing regulations, like the bump stock bans, and more importantly, a hands off approach to regulating industries that have what amounts to a government mandated monopoly on services used by virtually everyone. Most importantly, his right wing supporters. ISPs and telecoms are running wild right now, and exist (almost) completely outside of market forces.

It's a very complex issue, and of course I'm glad Trump won, because HRC would have been catastrophic, but I'm not satisfied at all, with what little Trump has done.

quote:

Plus, he has kept or tried to keep every campaign promise he made

He's cucked or failed to live up to his rhetoric on Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mexico, immigration control, the wall, gun control (bump stock bans? Rly?)

But he's been so good to Israel, he might get his own town in the Golan Heights, and the street his embassy in Jerusalem is on will probably have a few alleys names after him. They should name their defense department after him too, because he cucked on Syria withdrawal to "defend Israel".

I wish he would have at least mentioned congressional term limits, there's a lot of folks both left and right who want to end the political careers of entrenched politicians. Nadler, Pelosi, Feinstein, Schumer, Waters, Clyburn, Cummings, Jackson Lee, etc.

Remember: everything in this thread that he didn't do, he didn't want to do.

Had he wanted to do them, he would have done them.

I guess it took a little pep out of my step when it became apparent he would be unsuccessful in beating RINOS into submission, metaphorically speaking of course. I believe that those types are to blame for the gridlock in Trump's agenda.

Progress is being made, though.
