"We’re right back where we started” - re: Iran
They're utterly devastated in both defensive and offensive capabilities, and 97% of their former leadership has been vaporized, and you can almost guarantee that Mossad has infiltrated a majority of the replacement leadership. Plus, their nuclear aspirations have been set back decades and they've done a pretty admirable job of thoroughly whizzing off every neighbor they have, and even China and Russia have backed off in their relations with the regime.
That is nowhere near where we were just a few months ago.
In my worthless estimation, it's not exactly the optimal outcome, but it's a far cry from being worse-off or even equal to previous incarnations of Iran.

China knows they don’t have the goods.
The US military is the sole dominant force in the world.
With mastermind strategic thinking, as we have been seeing, they don’t have shite.

BRICS never was a real thing. A nonexistent boogeyman.

Additionally proved they could close the strait at will, and that they have the ability to strike key ME partners who then pressured us to come to terms.
Say this thing ends in the next 100 days and things are back to normal. Iran is going to close the straight and launch bombs at neighbors, for, what exactly?
Do they want to finally piss off EVERYONE?

Well since they've already done both of those things (o.k., they just threatened to launch bombs at neighbors), it doesn't seem like the craziest thing in the world to imagine them doing it...again.

Not at all. That would be crazy.
No, they want to either kill everyone else or convert them to their brand of Islam.
That's all.

There are gonna be some new Muslim billionaire futures traders if Iran can open and shut Hormuz at will.

At this time, everyone is making sure Trump owns its closing. Even our old allies. Nobody is going to skip over Trump to give Iran hell for closing it.
In 7 months? When we’re gone?
Who the shite do you think is going to take the blame? Iran will be on an island and won’t have the cover of the whole world being gay af and blaming Trump.
Seriously, what do you think the fallout will be if Iran closes it in 2 years?

It is the most ignorant of ignorant takes.
Destroying 40+ years of Iranian military buildup (including nuclear) and killing a whole government full of terrorists gets ignored.
Is there any fixing that level of smooth brain thinking?

It’s like you don’t even know that China gets much of its oil from Iran and Venezuela

It’s 100% okay to criticize any actions of war, but you have to also acknowledge the outcome honestly. And the outcome was we kicked their dick in and it will benefit us for a decade or more.
We leveled the playing field with China as far as long term peace goes. Venezuela, Panama Canal, Iran and the MDCP with Indonesia. He won't get proper credit, but he's doing extraordinary things in foreign policy cleaning up the post WWII mess that we were in.

So you are arguing that they have EXACTLY the same capacity as before?
and anything they may have tried could have been tried at any time by them
Now it cannot

IF Iran were dumb enough to close strait, it negatively effects their own economy, big time. They see that now. Close it, and we'll blockade that bitch which shuts off their only income source. Not real smart.
Best thing about this is countries now understand how fragile their economic circumstances are, if Iran can go retard and close the strait. They are making other arrangements. Regime change in Iran will happen eventually, but it cannot be forced overnight.
So we no longer have to worry about Iran. And all of this improved our relations with most others. So tell me the negative.
Or just keep melting erratically

I really don’t like the idea of replacing a bunch of goodwill we have other other nations with fear.
What exactly has all this goodwill from the last 80 years of military protection and imbalanced trade deals with our "allies" given us?
Not even a single ship to defend their oil supply
Lectures
Whining when we correct bad trade deals
Buying oil and NG from Russia
Laughing when we correctly told them reliance on Russia would be harmful
Jealousy
Refusal for us to use our own bases during a conflict
Refusal to use their air space that make our pilots spend more time and fuel
Refusal to live up to nato defense spending
Voting to put Iran in charge of UN human rights
Where is all this goodwill you claim we have wasted?
