I preface this with 55 out of 55 years of unblemished heterosexuality: I love this guy. It makes me happy to know that socialist leftists grimace with anger when they hear his name.

Gov. Rick DeSantis said he plans to sign legislation passed Wednesday that would bar male-to-female transgender athletes from competing in girls’ and women’s scholastic sports.
“Oh, yeah, we’re going to protect our girls,” Mr. DeSantis

It is nice having a governor that actually takes a stand on issues.

Especially the right stand!

DeSantis is going to be the next POTUS, and a damn good one at that.

DeSantis is just like Trump except he has a grasp on policy, is actually conservative, doesn’t spend 21 hours a day shitposting on Twitter and settling scores with c-level celebrities, isn’t trying to destroy the GOP

Looking forward to seeing how the NCAA responds to this affecting UF, FSU and Miami.

That GOP dick isn’t going to suck itself.

If it ain't Donall Trump then I'm definitely all in. Count me as a Desantis fan fo sho.
But I do think the question must be asked: not if but when Desantis were to take the same level of fire from all the same bad guys that obstructed Trump in never before seen ways, will Desantis weather that constant, unrelenting storm like Trump did? I think it would be naive to think that the left would intentionally give Desantis a pass on anything whatsoever. It would probably be worse. There is a media lies and fake news shitstorm awaiting Desantis, that's a 100% certainty.
All this to simply say beware of relative calm at the present time. In fact, would it surprise you if we eventually found out that as we speak there's some corrupt foreign intelligence agency or agencies putting together some campaign research "information" on Desantis? I would barely flinch over it tbh. I expect that such is and will be going on. So just keep it in mind, Desantis would be in for the Trials of Job if he announces.....much less if he were to get the nomination. And to that end he's untested.
Again, I'm big fan of both Trump AND Desantis.

This is likely accurate. I also won’t be surprised if it’s something Kavanaughish like some kind of allegation from DeSantis’ college days.

Yeah I'm not real crazy about the left's cryptic level of "standoffishness" re: Desantis. Leaves you with the feeling that they have a diabolical plan featuring very strategically timed and placed "landmines". They sure as hell ain't just gonna hold off. There's no damn telling what they have waiting in the wings. And that's not to say any of it would be effective or successful, but it sure has the potential to be.

If Desantis does run for prez in '24, he should select Don Jr. or OK Governor Kevin Stitt as his running mate.
All have gonads of pure steel and also zero fricks to give.

Only if they’re former minors.

It's possible they learned their lesson. They created Trump. Pushed him into the nomination because they thought he was the easy win. The last five years have shown us that they are completely disconnected from the people. I believe they really thought that once they trashed Trump everyone would cheer them. Instead the populace got more angry. Every candidate they push is getting mocked and ridiculed so maybe they realized they need to be more circumspect in amplifying the guy who's going to destroy their nursing home president.

What a pathetic post.

It’s sad that this is “a stand”. After all women have been through with Title IX, having people think it’s fine to have some 6’-10” guy dominate a girls round ball games because he feels ladylike is beyond stupid. But, they keep stupiding.

Hope that's the case, that the left's changed their cheatin' ways, but ultimately I'd be quite surprised if they didn't actually step it up a couple or three levels from even their prior Trump tactics. Their hands were never slapped even once for any of their malicious behavior, that I can recall. Thus I only see them being more emboldened than ever.

It’s obviously a pointless hypothetical, but I wonder what he’d be like if Trump had never been president, assuming he’d have been elected. If you think about it he’s just plain spoken and doesn’t back down from a fight; it’s not like politicians never had those qualities. He’s not a character like Trump so I don’t think it’s fair to say he’s copying him, but Trump erased any doubts that standing up can still work and DeSantis definitely benefited from it, and Trump is arguably the reason he got elected.
I love the guy but it sucks that people who’ll fight are rare on the right these days and we have to celebrate them like they’re unicorns.

At 36 years of age he would've just barely made the 35 year age requirement to run for President. A lot of folks don't realize how young a fella he is. 42 y.o. at present.

Trump was the slap and I don't think all the wailing about January 6th is an act. They realized people are fed up and they are vulnerable.
