Good. You can’t allow global commerce to be disrupted by these assholes.

I'd wager a lot of money China is 100% with US/UK on this and I'm curious how Russia will respond to China supporting an attack on one of their proxies

True, but very little of that shipping is ours.

Doesn't matter. There is enough oil coming through there such that a disruption will raise the global price of oil, which then causes everything to be more expensive.

Never really thought about that.
Just your suspicion or do more people think this?

Just my opinion. Yemen is a weird place. It borders KSA but is about 40% Shia, almost entirely in the northwest area of the country. It's been ground zero in the Saudi-Iran proxy war, but it's never really been a cohesive state due to the political and religious differences between North Yemen and South Yemen.

All by design.

Can't change horses midstream, when we're in a kinetic war in the Mid-East.

No question word went through the back channels to get these drone attacks going, force our hand, get us more involved militarily,

But hell yeah! 'merica!!

Pepe is kind of a wild man. Here is how he sees it.

There's a ceiling to oil prices in the U.S. The President has the authority to unilaterally sequester U.S. oil if the global market gets too crazy.

There is really no reason to bomb the Houthis back to the Stone Age. Thats where they are now.

Got a link?

The only sequestration powers I am aware of have to do with budget cuts.

China is getting fricked worse than anyone in this. This is completely thwarting their shipping to Europe.

It might be good for China to have some interests that align with ours

Why not?

Global commerce, bro. This hurts us and hurts countries our economy relies on even more.

We gotta get into wars for Israel and Saudi Arabia?

a. This won't be a "war"

b. This would be an action for us and about 150 other countries, but us #1.

c. Saudi Arabia is somewhat of an important ally, both regionally and economically.

d. If China and SA are on board, this basically destroys BRICS.

Maybe they should step up and protect their own shipping rather than putting the entire cost of their maritime trade security on the backs of the American taxpayers.

Maybe things like this is what we need to really ignite moving production to Mexico and North America in general.
