This has been a 20 year political and military industrial complex $1T Ponzi scheme that has claimed the lives of 4K troops, 65K afghan troops, 120K civilians, and maimed 25K American troops.
And Biden has been actively supportive and involved for 16 of those 20 years.

I think all these Presidents have mistakenly announced the withdrawals. They should have just pulled out and then announced we had left after the fact.

To be fair trump did try to withdraw from Afghanistan before he left office. I couldn't give two shits about Afghanistan and we should have left years ago. Actually following through in the withdrawal is the only good thing Biden has done so far. Of course he's screwed even that up by sending in 3000 US troops again but leaving Afghanistan to it's own devices was the correct decision.

Talk, talk, talk. Its about the only "thing" that all politicians do well. Results on the other hand are virtually nil. People with a long history of political instability are not suddenly going to reverse course as a result of any outside government intervention. It's unconscionable that so many lost their lives so that a "few" could prosper as a result.
