Yeah, but the average person isn't equating Republicans with Nazis. It's insane.

Are you just accepting their self appointed name, sheep?

No matter the action, they've declared themselves antithetical to fascism. So that's what they are.

Got it. Thanks for clearing that up

North Korea calls itself the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

I'm here all day if you need assistance with the realization that self naming in politics often is dishonest.

I don't see it as a victory. The fact that they were clashing with "nazis" this time gave them legitimacy in the eyes of many, and is helping them to paint everyone on the right as a nazi.

All you have to do is ask yourself one simple question.

In the next 18 months, do you think ANTIFA will continue to be violent where their victims are largely if not entirely NOT actual Nazis?

Once you know the answer to that question, yeah.....encourage your opponent to continue siding with them.

I'm kinda curious as well.

Have there been politicians or commentators that have been siding with antifa?

Their silence is deafening

I'm at work. This is the second post I've seen with the above statement. What's the basis?
I mentioned ANTIFA to my most liberal friend a couple of weeks ago, and he had never heard of them. I mean a quick Google search reveals scathing criticisms or it by The Atlantic and BBC in recent days.

I would say they got some fame and showed themselves on a national stage during the primaries and general elections showing up and disrupting Trump rallies.
New Mexico, California, Chicago were pretty bad.
They also trickled any to any BLM marches that were on national tv as well.

OP, you are correct. And the scariest part is that they will still drag close to 45%+ in elections.

That is fricking insane.

The first I had heard from them by name, was after Spencer was punched at the inauguration.

White Supremacists and Nazis make up such a core base in the Republican Party that Donald Trump is afraid to call them out. And you're trying to equate this to a no name group called "Antifa". Come on. You can do better with your attempts at deflection.

People are giving these small groups way too much power.

So much goddamn hyperbole.
