Do we have the details of the deal yet?

So Iran’s military capabilities are now pedestrian, IRGC is (although still in power) severely beaten down, and the strait is now toll free but yeah this is worse than the Afghanistan withdrawal. Oh and details of the deal haven’t been released yet.
Exactly.

Must a great deal for us if Levin is somber with great concern.

As I just said in another thread, I hope the people stunned by how this turned out start to think twice about what they were told the last three months.

sounds like you
The next obama won't be able to build them back up in a term or 2.

The fact that Obama managed to put anything on the table without triggering a war was an achievement in itself.
Obama gave them a wink and a nod to build a weapon acting like he would inspect to make sure they didn't.
THEN...he gave them a mountain of cash.

Well I guess if nothing else it gets Trump to the mid terms.
This is the answer. Given the news cycle, we needed some headlines to have time to pop up in between the Iran stalemate and the midterms or quite a few republicans were toast and so was the house.

Seeing contradictions.
This is just a temporary truce while they work out a Nuke deal

The deal was signed in 2015---that’s 10 years in which Iran did not develop a nuclear weapon. By any reasonable standard, that’s a success.
Trump took office in 2017, and during those early years, we didn’t hear constant warnings about an imminent Iranian nuclear threat. There’s a reason for that---the agreement was still in force and being monitored.
And let’s be honest---any new deal Trump signs will also involve a massive financial component. That’s how these agreements work. You can dislike the structure, but it’s not unique to Obama. So I’m not sure what point you’re making by focusing on the money when every administration, including this one, will have to put significant incentives on the table to get Iran to agree to anything. I know Trump began this war with big promises of unconditional surrender, but I'm sure even you would agree that it'sn't happening.
Lastly, it seems we still do not have a deal ---just an agreement to discuss one over the next 60 days, which makes us wonder what the hell we have been doing all this time.

If I was close to having nuclear capability and someone came to me and demanded I eliminate it, I’d demand a lot of friggin money

So now the strait is open like it was when this started and we're now sending 300 Billion to rebuild not counting the Airmen who gave their life for this. Umm, other than higher gas prices, what did we win here?

Can anyone credibly argue that we are better off with this capitulation of a “deal” than where things stood pre Epic Fury?
If you consider the geopolitical victory and the neutering of Russia and China, the setback of Irans military by two decades, no tolls in the strait and obliterated nuclear capabilities, I’d say no one can argue it wasn’t necessary.
