I really thought we would dodge this damn thing. My Son's the monkey if you will. He came back from a a week of summer camp and got really sick and on Tuesday I pulled out one of those free Covid tests from the Gov't and he was positive. Took him to the doctor to double check and it was confirmed. They told us to wait until today to allow the virus to fester before you test.

Over the last few days my wife and I started getting sick and it's severe cold/mild flu like symptoms. My son has been hit the hardest but is doing much better. His fever got up to nearly 103 at one one.

My wife and I seem to better doing a little better. I've been running low grade fever with chills going and going with a cough that's staying in my throat and not my lungs for now.

As Ted from Airplane would say:

Current version is akin to a sinus infection… stays upper respiratory.

Its like death, no one is getting out from having it, no "vaccine" or anything will prevent you from getting it, its like the flu, its a rite of passage in life, everyone gets it at least once...

I got it earlier this year, fever got up to 103 during the night, once it broke I felt fine, took ivermectin, stayed isolated for 5 days and went back to work.

Tough call. He's only a kid once, but maybe summer camp this year, still, wasn't the best idea.

I hope black coffee satisfies that criterium.

It gets easier after the first one.

I’ve had it three times. Delta, Omicron, and this BA Baracus one. The last one I sincerely had to piece together some symptoms I was having to know I had it.

You’ll be a’ight baw. Sever cold / moderate flu this time and it won’t ever be this strong again. I’ve had it 3 times and am a proud pureblood.

I thought the definition of "pureblood" was no vaccine and also never catching it?

The BSA (Boy Scouts) has a Covid Protocol prior to leaving that has to be accomplished prior to camp and everyone in our unit was fine.

You only get to be a kid time in your life and you can't live in a bubble because people get all kinds of illnesses all of the time. That's life

I get what you are saying but I don't have any regrets

I hope you have a quick and uneventful recovery. It sucks but you should have some antibodies after you get well.
