Yes, Navy Seals
The U.S. Coast Guard's equivalent to the Navy SEALs are the Maritime Security Response Teams (MSRTs), an elite counter-terrorism unit specializing in high-risk maritime operations, hostage rescue, and direct action, with Direct Action Sections (DAS) trained in Close Quarters Combat (CQC) and operating with snipers, K9s, and divers to handle threats on vessels or coastal areas.

These guys, not widely advertised, annually kick the Navy Seal's arse in competition trials.
Here's a challenge coin presented to me by the unit commander. The latin motto, "Nox Noctis est Nostri" means "The Night is Ours". I worked with them on night vision systems for airborne, marine surface and underwater.

Thank you for the head's up = I'd never heard of them - now I will get to appear smart when I tell some of my friends about this team.

There will be no resistance by the crew here. All they care about is completing their contract and supporting their family. Crewing agency probably found the lowest paid guys they could find desperate enough to do it.
Average crew member on these tankers has no clue what the frick is going on operationally. They'll know their loading and discharge ports and run the ship and do their job day-to-day.
The captain and chief mate will have some idea of whats going on commercially with the vessel but aren't going to try and get themselves killed over somebody else's problem.

This is a 23 year old tanker with flag state registered in Guyana.
Registered owner and manager is a company out of Turkey.
Vessel appears to be unclassed or class was revoked.
Was operating out of south Asia for 4-5 years before this. Crew likely south Asian and has no idea wtf is going on. They just hoping they'll get paid off at the end of the voyage.

I've been out with them on multiple training missions in San Diego. These guys are like chiseled stone; hard and rugged and are some great guys that you absolutely should not frick with.
