That's discouraging about CQ, if true. Spain lost 1,000 people yesterday.

Agreed he’s an academician.

Yes he is but you are wrong to think that is why he says what he says. Trump parades him out there to contrast himself with what the deep sate wants. Shining a light on the rats.

When the hosts told him the deaths were down he completely tried to blow off the hard facts that they were putting in front of him.

Deaths in the last week according to Worldometers:

3/27 - 400
3/28 - 525
3/29 - 363
3/30 - 558
3/31 - 912
4/1 - 1049
4/2 - 968

Where are these hard facts about deaths going down?

We’re told this lock down is to prevent overwhelming the hospitals, meanwhile hundreds of hospitals across the country are sitting idle at half capacity and cutting hours. This is bullshite. Why isn’t this being reported? I’m sorry, I can’t stand seeing this little a-hole on TV poo-pooing every opinion or idea that isn’t his.

I read an extensive bio on Dr. Fauci a few days ago and I came away thinking this COVID-19 pandemic is what he has lived his entire life waiting for.

He has worked through all of the other "virus scares" at his organization and in each one of them he was the doom and gloom voice which never happened. He described this current situation for almost every one of those virus outbreaks.

I'm referring to SARS, MERS, Swine Flu, Ebola, Bird flu and Asian Flu. There's a couple more of them that I can't recall right now.

I don't believe the guy is evil or even a politically motivated person.

I just think he is feeling vindicated after almost 40 years of screaming from the rooftops, "We're all gonna' die! This time I mean it!!"

And it's giving him a sense of schadenfreude that's he's finally right about a virus outbreak. He doesn't really want it to end yet.

I'm 100% sure you have no idea if this is accurate or not.

It’s a personal study I did that looks at potential deaths according to what deathcasters wish would happen.

No one is doing that. You monitor a patient for QTc prolongation.

But HCQ is prescribed for travel, prophylactically, when people visit malaria zones. If people can take it prophylactically, I’d guess a lot of them can take it when they’re sick.

The reality is that 99% of the criticism of anyone on this board is due to some perception that said person might somehow hurt Trump's reelection campaign. It's not about economic damage - other than the possible damage to Trump

This is an absurd statement.

99% of the criticism of Fauci is based on an apparent disregard for how the policies impact the economy. He was quoted in an article as laughing at the economic advisors who talked about the damage to the economy.

Your statement shows you don't recognize how dangerous of a position we are in from an economic standpoint. It seems your TDS has impacted your rationality.

Well the paper this morning says he's gotten a "deluge of online threats and uncomfortable personal encounters"...so much that DHHS has requested the U.S. Marshall Service to authorize special agents for Fauci's protection. The Justice Dept. approved a request to deputize nine agents.

March 12 (UPI) -- South Korean disease experts have begun to recommend the use of a combination of antiviral and anti-malaria drugs for patients of the new strain of coronavirus. Kwon Jun-wook, deputy head of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said Thursday at a regular press briefing the recommendations come from multiple groups, and that the government is ready to apply the recommendations to patients "where necessary," Newsis reported.

The Korean Society of Infectious Diseases, Korean Society for Antimicrobial Therapy, Korean Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and a tuberculosis association published their recommendations on Thursday.

South Korean experts are also recommending the use of hydroxychloroquine in combination with the anti-HIV medication. HCQ is sold under the brand name Plaquenil, among others, and is used for the prevention and treatment of malaria.

What if their death toll is higher because they're irresponsibly prescribing these meds?

What if you pulled your head out of your arse?

These meds have been around a long time. Toxicity and contraindications are very well known.

Are you a contrarian or just stupid?

I believe the social distancing and the shutdown are complete BS. They are now saying asymptomatic people can spread through breathing, not just sneezing and coughing. If that’s the case there’s really nothing we can do to stop this thing. Bottom line is a lot of people will get sick, most will recover and some will die. There’s nothing that can be done about that. There is no cure, treatment or vaccine. We are observing social distancing and economic destruction because no one has a magic bullet to end this. The only hope we have is that eventually it will run its course.
