Watching the Navy/Air Force football game and see a huge difference with SEC teams

Of the 22 active players on the field , only 2 are black heritage. If this were a SEC game I would expect 2 white.
The difference? The military colleges source players from its own student population. Yes they can provide scholarships but the primary function of the attendance is to fly a jet faster, defend a ship etc. which takes a technically competent individual.
The SEC only focuses on football capability which is physical strength driven. Players future employment is not a limitation . Recruiting is wide open education is way down the list of wants.

But then HBCUs should dominate. But they don't. Army AF Navy have more success and better teams

When is the last time you’ve seen a football or basketball player ruled academically ineligible in the SEC? Not credit transfer related, but pure academic standards.
If someone did a pure statistical study of how many SEC football and basketball players could actually pass a standard H.S. GED exam after their eligibility has been exhausted. It would be embarrassing…and the powers that be would never allow that under the guise of privacy rights.

that's not entirely true they recruit kids for football, just like every other college does, difference is those kids know that that commitment comes with military service afterwards.
getting into one of the service academies is hard, being good a football makes it easier. so if it weren't for the ability to play football they wouldn't be in the academy to begin with.
i coached pop warner with a guy who played high school football in ohio as a QB, had scholarships from dozens of schools but had his heart set on going to west point. the only school he would have chosen over west point was ohio state, and they never offered him.
ironically he didn't care for the army as much as he thought he would and wished he would have walked on at ohio state.

Well I know so many people who have graduated from an SEC school who are very happy and doing extremely well. For the same reason I do not watch female sports I have not ever watched a military college competition of any type whatsoever.

Hell, 58% of the adult population in the USA cannot read above a 5th grade level.
Think about that general population number, then extrapolate it to the small % of athletes good enough to play at the highest level of D1 college football.
Probably pushing 80-85% at that point if not higher.

Meanwhile watched Big TEN Ohio State/ Iowa...OUT Out the 22 players on the field it was CLOSE to 50/50%. White dudes are good at Football too; despite what some think
