Reinstate the Smith-Mundt act, remove any loopholes and enhance criminal charges for violations and much of the garbage we see in the media disappears mysteriously.

This is never going to stop, but the good news is that less and less people get their info from Legacy Media. They haven't learned how to de-bias their coverage so people have turned against them en masse.

I don’t want the government controlling media either.
I want the government and IC out of media by law, particularly from using propaganda on domestic audiences which is what the S-M act ensures.
There are no private restrictions on speech or publishing involved whatsoever.
I think the easiest way to get attention on it would be for Trump to have the IC go full adoration mode for him then be like “is this what you want? If not have Congress reinstate S-M”

First, Our public airways are heavily regulated. There is no dispute as to that. The main stations that have licenses to operate over the public air waves are:
CBS
NBC
ABC
Fox
There is no censorship of cable television so they can say what they want
The above four stations are issued a license to operate for the benefit of the public. Their shows must be approved before they can be aired For example the seven words that can't be Said on television- See George Carlin
I believe the argument being made is that the Democrat lies by the four main stations above have caused public harm and it would not be wrong to remove their license.
All that is being asked is that truth and fact be presented as news not opinion And especially not Democrat talking points and only those points.

That’s not the point. If they receive government funds or favorability from FCC/government then they should not be allowed to be ONE SIDED like they are.
Pill their FCC license and make them be like msnbc or Bloomberg.

What you call “talking points” are likely conclusions based on facts that displease you. The fact that multiple and varied media voice similar observations probably lends credibility to them.
