In this you see the Trump V DeSantis divide. One side would prefer a surgical dismantling of an argument which not only destroys the attempted argument but shows the person asking for the activist they actually are, and the other would prefer to name call and bully them. Same potential outcome...maybe, but two very different ways of skinning the cat.
It's why I prefer DeSantis. I want the same outcome, but I think you alienate far too many people the Trump way. Sure, it plays to a certain demo, but everyone else tires of that. The only people that would not like what they saw form Poilievre here would be those that would rather him have called the reporter a cuck and then shouted, "WHOOOOOOO!"

This is true. The truth has a way of slipping out. When a "reporter" is stuttering and the words, "come out wrong" - that's when you know he/she is trying to remember the tapestry of lies.

As posted above, its a matter of style. You like Trump because he extremely aggressively fires back. He's all attack and fire back, which you love.
There's a time for it, but its generally counterproductive. It makes HIM the story (which is why he does it and why he gets the devotion he does).
This is a completely different style, that I prefer. Its productive. It makes the answer the story. Its calm and much more effective.

There is nothing REMOTELY the same about the way Poilievre or DeSantis handles the press. Conservatives from the past NEVER did anything like that. They just took it and played defense. Show me a time where the McCains, Romneys Bushes, etc did anything close to this.
But there's a WORLD of difference between calling someone an a-hole and completely dismantling them like this for the world to see. The story then shifts to THEM and their behavior, and not YOU and yours.

The overwhelming majority of NeverTrumpists have said they will NOT vote for Trump no matter what and THAT is a vote for Biden which is, quite frankly insane.
