I agree.
Gaetz is up he wants JJ

Do we even know that we have duly elected members of Congress casting votes for Speaker?
I have zero faith that this is even the case.

hey are pulling out the big boy paper saying they will pass a budget if you vote for KM.
Isn’t that all but completely meaningless going given what they went along with on the outgoing group on the way out the door last month?

This vote will probably wrap it up for KM.
ETA. I think KM just lost it again with the 7th vote for JJ.

it is meaningless with KM as Speaker.

KM is on the verge of losing again.

They just said he won’t get it again, needed 16 of the 19, 4 already against him before Gaetz

The last vote there was no clapping for JJ. Some boos even.
Establishment rules, sadly.
But they may have to do it many times to convince the JJ voters.

fricking Rove just said they GOP might start revoking concessions to the Freedom Caucus.

So Jim Jordan coordinates with McCarthy in the chamber, then is the one to nominate him again for the second ballot, and is currently the one getting the votes that prevent McCarthy from getting a majority?

Gaetz said him not wanting it is precisely why he needs it

I mean, if you want to kill off the last group of people trying to distinguish you from the Dems. LP, save me a spot.

If the damn republicans won't stick together and quit in-fighting the Dems will get the speaker job again.

Oh, no. How would that change anything?

If the Democrats were smart, they would all stand up and leave. It would secure McCarthy as Speaker, which is the best choice if you are a Democrat House member.
