Washington Post: Joe Rogan repeats debunked claim that left wing people started wildfires

On his latest podcast episode on Thursday, Joe Rogan took aim at protesters in Portland, Ore., calling their clashes with police “madness.” For further evidence, he pointed to the massive forest fires tearing through Oregon this month.
“They’ve arrested left-wing people for lighting these forest fires,” he said on “The Joe Rogan Experience” to his millions of listeners. “You know, air-quote, ‘activists.’ This is also something that’s not widely being reported.”
That’s not true, according to both the FBI and local law enforcement in Oregon. In fact, those agencies have urged people to stop spreading claims that antifa members are starting fires, warning that the misinformation is hampering efforts to battle the wildfires and fueling a dangerous surge of vigilantism.

This is a mirror image of the massive wildfires in Australia. The econuts who lobbied and protested against sound fire prevention management of forests and grass lands were often the very ones who set fires. Young and stupid ideologues get some perverse notions.

This is a perfect example of where we are currently at. If you are not 1000% all in for their agenda, they see you as the enemy. I don’t listen to Rogan a lot but he’s not exactly a bastion of conservatism. What the left has done is completely and totally destroyed any middle ground. They’d rather destroy someone like Rogan who probably shares many of the same views than have him expressing any independent thought or questioning the movement. The left always ends up purging it’s own in the quest for ideological purity.

They will probably say it is debunked because the guy they arrested for starting the fires said he was Antifa but antifa isn't a true organization so we shouldn't blame them.

Yes.
The media went from claiming that there is no direct link to Antifa (who doesn’t exactly have a member list) to claiming that it’s Trump’s fault.
Meanwhile, left wing activists have been caught setting fires in Oregon and California. Arson is also suspected in Utah.
