Boston, Chicago, Philly, NY all do the same thing. Chicago has been the worst since Obama but someday someone will investigate Boston's suicide, OD, and homicide and realize they have been lying for decades.

He claimed that a DC police Commander being fired for falsifying data was in no way considered evidence of falsifying data.

I'm sure half of the motivation for doing so was purely to make one of their progressive wonderlands look less dangerous, thanks directly to their own retarded policies.
Widely known in Montgomery, AL that crime is VERY under reported. I don't know if the crime data is officially reported to the Feds, but the local media is definitely onboard with keeping stuff on the down low.

One thing I also wonder is if any of this data was used as part of an application for funds/grants and if so, that could open up fraud charges.

This is where it will get them, fraud.

The crime stats go to the FBI. Lying to thr FBI is a crime.

But data can be filtered and presented in many ways. The final presentation may not be a lie, but a lot of context may have been left on the cutting room floor.

Montgomery has been a cesspool ever since Emory Folmer left office. He didn’t put up with the bullshite that goes on there now.

If there is a way to nail them I'm all for it.

I'm just asking the question about there being a law directly on point.

In the 1987 period OSHA was hot to trot on companies playing games with injury classifications ie lost time or recordable. Getting caught was a terminal offense. Same standards for governmental agencies are called for.

Crime is down virtually everywhere.

What are the facts here that would warrant a criminal investigation?
