I have no idea to be honest. But one thing you will never see me doing is overestimating the stupidity of the average American.

And why is lying only bad when the media is considered “mainstream”?

Who said it was?

Various media people lie all the time, left, middle, and right. But you can't find a single concrete example of such a concerted effort to lie to the American people pre Obama

This is unlike anything we've ever seen. We're not talking about one radio host, or one minor Fox host, or a small newspaper in MS here. We're talking about entire networks, the paper of record, AP for God sakes, all telling the SAME lies over and over and over.

When Obama was POTUS, those lies were meant to cover for the President, now that Trump is President the lies are meant to destroy.

And just gonna be blunt here, if you can't admit that this is true, then I'll simply concede that the other poster was right and that you are dishonest and move on.

Yea, and now the same is true of conservative media and Trump.

Again this is not new, conservative media did the exact same thing to Obama

Why are you only concerned about the liberal media’s dishonesty?

Uh, you're not the press or Congress. When I say 'the Dems' I'm not talking about private individuals.

Because of the sheer amount of exposure. If you think infowars is mainstream like cnn and the associated press, you totally ruin your argument.

Dishonesty in either is unacceptable, but which side has a far larger imprint?

Okay so what’s the threshold that divides mainstream media from non mainstream media? How many viewers/listeners/clicks does it take before it’s not okay to lie?

Um because for the most part the media is left wing so you have a HUGE disparity here. 99% of Americans probably don't even look at any "right wing media" save Fox News. I mean surely you get that. Rush Limbuagh LOL most Americans have no idea what he is saying daily. The New York Times on the other hand......

The left wing media lies are FAR more pervasive and dangerous than the right wing simply because the voices are louder and heard by more people. This is easily proven.

Though, slowly but surely the left wing media lies are starting to be exposes and they are losing viewers/readers.

Then why do y’all call out one side’s dishonesty and eat the others sides up?

No she isn't.

This is the infamous candy crawley interjecting a lie into the Romney obama debate.

The rose garden quote is from another part of the speech not referencing Benghazi.

Im not saying its ok to lie at all. You seem to be the one defending the lies of nyt, cnn, etc because Alex jones is an idiot. It’s a weird argument and I’m not sure why you can’t just admit what the media did with this ms-13 story is inexcusable.

Holy frick........the Cathy Newman approach? Really?

Yeah. A lie is bad

A lie where all of the major news organizations........NEWS organizations..........conspire to lie is worse.

it's not

but the scope and effects are much worse, especially with the collective, insidious effort involved

compare a single murder in the USSR to Soviet death camps. are we going to say they're equal b/c both involve murder?

What are you basing that on? In this thread alone I’ve addressed liberal media lies and misinformation as damaging and wrong and that those people should be fired. How many more times do I have to say it?

I’ve moved on to the hypocrisy of many on here who bash one sides lies while accept he others as fact uncritically.

I have answered your question. And you have indirectly answered mine. ShortyRob was right and I was wrong. You don't deserve a respectful conversation. Have a good day.

I'm not sure what the worst was, but I remember around 1/25/17 or so (less than a week after Trump's inauguration) CNN online having as their biggest headline "The First of Trump's Fallen Has Come Home" in reference to someone in special forces being killed over seas. At that moment is when I really realized what Trump was in for against the MSM during his presidency. He had been in office for only a few days, yet they are blaming the death of a soldier sent overseas by a different president on him

And you're absolutely, 100% not willing to listen to or accept any of the reasons being given by other posters. You just keep moving the goal posts
