Someones big mad about this on social media

quote:

Kyle Ardoin needs to resign as the Secretary of State of Louisiana.

He violated the law. He should not be allowed to certify elections this weekend, and he should resign from office.

He tainted the election process showing up at a Trump rally to campaign for Trump and Rispone. The law is clear, now what will be done about it?

Read the law for yourself and push the issue, Kyle Ardoin needs to resign.

The law states: “The secretary of state shall not participate or engage in any other political activity, including the candidacy of any other person for election to public office; membership on any other national, state, or local committee of a political party or faction; making or soliciting contributions for any political party, faction, or other candidate; or taking active part in the management of the affairs of a political party, faction, other candidate, or any other political campaign.”

This is unacceptable.

Not illegal or unethical as far as I can tell.

The appearance of impropriety is about all they have. And then being so nervous about Ardoin tells me this is a preemptive claim of “Ardoin cooked the election for Rispone”, meaning JBE’s side isn’t confident they can win.

Which is no surprise considering they have been throwing out race cards on black radio to boost turnout for the runoff.

Well there is a law saying he cannot participate or engage in political activity including the candidacy of any Orff person for election to public office.

Can anyone provide proof Ardoin was there? Or just allegations which request he resign due to the severity of them?

WWL is saying he spoke at the rally.

Although his reps are saying HE was getting Trumps’ endorsement which is fine. Obviously you can campaign for yourself.

Interesting situation.

Is he up for runoff?

If so, then this appears to be a dead issue no matter how much people whine about it.

Isn’t Ardoin also running for re-election? Is he not allowed to campaign?

Do you see Jeff Landry arresting him for violating state law? Jeff was present at the rally as well.

He is up for run off and he is allowed to campaign for himself

He’s walking a line BUT This does seem like a nonstory.

Well we all know Landry isn’t a fan of enforcing laws he doesn’t like.
