It amazes me how people in his own party give him hell. Trump won WV by over 40 points and if it was not for him the seat would be a conservative republican and the senate would be republican controlled. When did the party change like this where if your not liberal enough you get harassed and followed in bathrooms.

Yes.
The Democrats, like Manchin, actually loved America and weren’t looking to destroy it
What has happened in the last 30-40 years is the Democrats have aligned themselves with every crazy supposed downtrodden group to which they have been cannibalized to where they are unrecognizable.
They have allowed themselves to take up every cause of every fringe group.
Additionally, they have welcomed in people to their party that despise America but gain acceptance under the guise of being some discriminated group.

It's been a very very long time.

There used to be liberal Democrats and conservative Democrats (known as blue dog ) and liberal republicans and conservative republicans. Now If you run as a conservative you are a Republican. And conservative Democrats went the way of the dinosaurs. Extinct for many years . Fossilized and only appear in history books !!!

The typical democrat of today is a person who is very evil. Their desires to kill unborn babies is a very evil desire. This evil mentality corrupts their decision to the point they are incapable of getting any law or gov't program correct. Everything they touch turns to dirt.

Kennedy and Johnson started the slide.
They were willing to sell out the nation for votes and power.
LBJ's Great Welfare Society was the single worst legislation ever passed in this nation. Followed closely by Obamacare and NAFTA.

Liberals are losers, so they pander to all the losers. They just happen to vote Democrat, the party of slavery.

Bill Clinton and Trump ran on the same platform
The shift started before Clinton but really accelerated during the Bush presidency during which they were able to capitalize on anger about Bush presidency to form a voting block of "greens", anti-war, and social liberals (none of the above had great voting turnout) along with their traditional unionists and minorities.
Obama is really what solidified the current group, though. Obama had the bright idea to turn young people into reliable voters. It worked so well that the Dems have been catering to their batshit ideas for the last decade. They are so terrified of losing that base, because Trump GOP is eating away at all of those listed above (except greens)

Yes, Manchin is similar to Joe D. Waggoner, a Dem who older La. people might remember.

Humbert Humphrey was considered very liberal back in his time. He would have no place in today's Democratic Party because he loved America and was a staunch anti-Communist. Today's Democratic party loves Communism and are staunchly anti-American.

You’re only proven right considering how much money he’s made off the backs of those in the coal industry.

Today's republican Party would have called Reagan a liberal.

I don't think this can be said enough. The Republican part of 2021 is left of center. The Democrat party of 2021 is so far left that the left of center Republicans look like right wing extremists.

That’s kinda strange considering how he’s still revered to some extent.

It's funny because the never Trumpers who talk nonstop about Reagan are exactly the same people who were never-Reagan in 1976 and 1980. Reagan was seen as angry, unpredictable/unstable and not "presidential" back then

Today's Dems are jackasses.
Ugly ones too.

Al Gore Sr.
This how Democrats were back then. Racist and corrupt.
No, they have not changed.
