Just watching some of the election vids/memes, damn that shite was fun. Wasn’t get any work done because of all of the unfolding events, couldn’t wait to see what gems showed up that day from Wikileaks, etc. And I don’t know if my kids will ever really get to experience an election night quite like it.

11/8/16 was one of the most glorious evenings I’ve ever had and I wasn’t even a Trump supporter. I’ll remember that night for the rest of my life. It was a crazy year.

Sadly, politics has become too exhausting since then. I can barely stand to follow it anymore. It’s like a car accident you can’t take your eyes off of though.

I was driving on the interstate late on election night and when they FINALLY called PA for Trump, I rolled down my window singing "Happy Days Are Here Again!" at the top of my lungs and honking my horn as a background instrument...fun times!

Our country is fine, but our politics in DC is broken.

Crime going down, economy trending up, poverty and incomes getting better.

Politics has never been so much fun since President Trump has been involved. The man is a super nova.

Economy has been trending up for years. And my career continues to soar towards the atmosphere.

But the political system which we all rely on is postively fricked.

I don't "rely" on any political system, at least in the sense I think you are implying.

If our police and armed forces break down, then sure, that is something I rely on and it would frick me.

DC shitshow doesn't affect me.

Ive been in or involved with the military for 16 years and counting. A lot of time in DC as well. I have more direct exposure to it than probably most so that impacts my opinion. When I am in New Orleans i tend to focus my thoughts on whether I am going to order a stuffed soft shell crab or a steak diane. When im working though...i see the impacts and the slow degradation of the efficiency of our acquisitions...the brain drain...the morale loss.
Making federal institutions into the boogey man for political expediency is going to cost us. Our enemies arent so stupid.

Tigerdev would say that's an advantage you inherently have as a white male.

I can say without question that 11/8/16 was a million times better than any national championship. I did feel like dog shite at work the next day though.

It's not our fault they've become politicized and motivated by the leftist agenda at the highest levels. Whatever you're involved with may be completely innocent but these higher ups give you a bad name. You should be upset about that.

Twitter and Facebook are going to shut down meme wars as much as they can and call it hate speech or interference in the electoral process.

Higher ups and bureaucrats have always been a necessary evil that high performers work around. When the chips have been down private industry and government have worked together to deliver our greatest military and scientific achievements. We are going to throw that away (and with it our technological dominance) because politicians want you to hang civil servants for the failures of politicians.

It isnt right.

I love this meme that I have a problem with white people. Even the mods have bought into it .
If you could be a fly on the wall for one day of my life you would see how many people that are family to me of all walks. Disagreement on racial issues is equated to hatred here. Backlash i guess.
