o people were claiming him as a Vietnam veteran bc he was in the Marines in '72 is what I'm gathering. I'm just waiting to see any links of him claiming he was a war vet or stolen valor. Was he in fact in the Marines in 72? That's what I'm seeing but no confirmation.

I then asked for links to confirm and got them. Then gave my response and said Phillips is wrong to not correct the record.

He should also correct it to show that he was the aggressor

Your continued defense of the liar is also wrong.

Just admit that you are on the wrong side of history on this. You progs love that saying. Lol

I'm now entirely convinced you're not even reading my post before replying with an incoherent and completely out of this world drivel. Would you like to join the conversation or do you just want to continue to melt over there?

This whole thing was a lie and you jumped in with both feet.

Just say I was wrong and move to your next talking point opportunity that shareblue puts out there for you guys.

First I'm probably one of the first posters to question his status: LINK

As other posters in that same thread (Lsupimp/Abuthemonkey) enlightened me as to the "Vietnam Era Vet" distinction, I did look around and couldn't find anywhere where he used the term "Vietnam Vet" and clearly stated I can't possibly see everything and was open to evidence that he may have.

Finally, I watched the video in the post you linked to. He says "Vietnam Veteran Times", that he served 72-76 and was out a year after Vietnam ended. So again, unless I missed it in the clip, I still don't see Phillips, who has serious character issues otherwise, claiming war vet status.

Here's your problem. You should have just condemned the man for his lies, but then you throw in a defensive line on his behalf, and also a deflection with your Trump quip.

Be a man and just stay on topic son. You're a hack.

I’ve asked this question before and I will ask it again. Why are all the Arkansas fans on this board huge bleeding cuckish pussies?

I asked for the proof then gave my response. I understand that seeking truth isn't a priority of this board and it's all about your side vs their side. It's ok. Give it a few years and maybe you'll grow out if it.

As best I could understand over the background noise, he said “As a Vietnam veteran times ... served in the Marine Corps 1972 to 1976, got out in May ... the year after the war ended....”

Sounds like an old man who switched the order of two words in a sentence, trying to say “Vietnam times veteran.”

ETA: Looks like CNN misquoted him looking at the actual video.

Yes, he used the Vietnam Times Veteran moniker again.

Look, maybe someone can unearth him saying otherwise, but I still think the story is a shitty media being lazy or intentionally trying to gin up the outrage.

It's funny how you claim people miss the point and mine went way over your head. It's okay, maybe you will stop being a child one day, give it a few years..
