But even at the risk of infringing on the principle of free speech and decreasing engagement for a period — which is to say, hurting their own bottom lines — Twitter and Facebook must muzzle Trump as the election nears.

What will he tweet as we get closer to Election Day? Or as the returns start coming in? Is there any doubt he will question results, claim victory unilaterally or inflame his supporters to take to the streets? The stakes are too high to wait to find out.

This is not unprecedented. Some nations impose a “silence period” before elections, during which campaigns pause all television and digital advertising (outside of get-out-the-vote activities).

And they call Trump a "tyrannical leader"? These people are everything they claim to be opposing.

It's actually irony. They claim "darkness" is when truth is hidden, yet they openly call for dissenting political voices to be silenced -- to be put back in the dark... you know, where democracy dies.

That person should be fired, never to work in journalism again.

And the editor that approved that to be published should also be fired. And the person that hired that editor should also be fired.

It's terrifying beyond belief to realize presumably educated American citizens are actually gleefully advocating for such things.

And what he means by this is that democrat campaigns are by default "get out the vote" activities.

So, to recap, no one should be allowed to campaign except democrats. Because reasons.

The fact that they can't see the irony in this is mind blowing.

Leftists and "moderates" fill up the threads whining about polls or whining about how "mean" Trump is. They never seem to appear in these where leftists openly state what they want to do.

They must have some kind of filter

Those dumb assets don’t comprehend that we’re not “some nations.” We have a Constitution.
