Yeah, that’s why we started this thread.

Can you answer the question I asked you about why you qualified seeing combat as a condition for VA disability?

Well lucky for you changes have already been happening to reduce ratings and certain claims. Doug Collins has been doing great work to revise the VA as well as ensuring it’s helping veterans.

What’s the question?
I am interested in that sample.
40% of what? Literally every human who has signed up for the military? And what all does that cover? As in branches and that stuff.

You as a “veteran” sure are struggling w this bub. I guess you never went anywhere or did anything because if you did serve you know exactly how day to day life breaks down a body as well as exposure to things cause illness and injury as well. You should also know that claims are given to simple stuff such as someone having heredity high blood pressure and being put on medication. Perhaps you don’t though but there’s no reason why a veteran shouldn’t go to the VA even to get a 0% rating so that way they can simply be seen and treated, especially if it ever aggravates or becomes terminal
you've been less of a dickhead to me on this thread and the other than some of the others, so i will extend you the same courtesy. i am active duty, approaching retirement myself. i have three middle east deployments, three IED strikes in my record, and a combat action ribbon. i DO know how day to day life breaks down a body. you're right, there IS no reason why a veteran shouldnt go to the VA even to get a 0% rating for legitimate issues. virtually everything that you guys reply to me with is stuff that i agree with!
what i am tellign you, is that i am in day to day contact with young troops, and i see this stuff happening with my OWN EYES where 18-19 year olds are routinely spending large amounts of their time and effort trying to get as much stuff as possible into their medical records so that they can max out their disability with the least amount of time served. this is a cultural norm among young troops in 2026. it's as routine and normal as getting a haircut every week.
i have absolutely zero issue with any vet getting valid injuries, conditions, and wear on tear on their records. my problem is with the thousands and thousands of 18-19 year olds who are at medical every week, multiple times a week, getting anythign they possibly can on their record while being coached along by slightly older military members and an unlimited amount of outside resources.
if you just dont believe me that it's happening, then that is fine, but for the love of god stop arguing against points i have never made.

Even if 40% of vets drew compensation, it isn't always a lifetime benefit. And it's most certainly not 100% disability rate.

Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Reserve and National Guard.

I don’t think you even know what point you’re trying to make. You continue to share some anecdotal experience and pretending this applies across the military and to all veterans.
You’re wrong as has been repeatedly pointed out to you.
The only conclusion left is you have a personal vendetta against the VA and apparently service members that are younger than you.

You sound like fricking psychopath. I having a perfectly fine discussion with this guy and have clarified twice that I didn’t say what you’re accusing me of.

I will say frick you for that guy. Hes giving you way too much grace. You’re a piece of shite for even insinuating what you did, and what’s worse is there is genuinely no reason for you to do it.
You will not convince me I’m not taking to a Somali startle scammer at this point. There’s no other explanation for y’all to be this combatively stupid.

I’m glad I couldn’t give one frick about what reauxltide222 thinks on a forum.

How many fricking kids does he have to get that much? The base for a single guy is like 3800 at 100%.
