I’ve seen the threads over the years on here and usually I just stay away. Again I wouldn’t be discussing any of this if I didn’t go volunteer and learn more about the VA system.

Can anybody answer the 40% question?

They hide behind fraud like the cowards they are, when in reality it’s simple envy. I see it all of the time, too.
That it’s now so prevalent from the right is what’s surprising.

Not really we’ve tried to have a conversation and explain it and at this point you don’t want to understand it. Again you think it’s fraud but more than likely there probably less than 1% fraud. Even AI says it’s .001% after all the fraud cases that are investigated. You and others just don’t understand 38cfr and how disability compensation works.

And 2020 was the most secure election in the history of voting

Because he fundamentally doesn’t understand what he’s saying. He thinks that by saying this he gives his argument credibility and he can turn around and say see actually I do support our troops hurr durr

To be fair, most of the stuff listed as evidence of fraud, like still working and exercising, aren't actually evidence of fraud. Most of the accusations are combined with a lack of knowledge about what VA disability fraud is and isn't.

You as a “veteran” sure are struggling w this bub. I guess you never went anywhere or did anything because if you did serve you know exactly how day to day life breaks down a body as well as exposure to things cause illness and injury as well. You should also know that claims are given to simple stuff such as someone having heredity high blood pressure and being put on medication. Perhaps you don’t though but there’s no reason why a veteran shouldn’t go to the VA even to get a 0% rating so that way they can simply be seen and treated, especially if it ever aggravates or becomes terminal.

Same brother. Keep up the good fight

I served but im not going to lie about a disability I don’t have. Roughly $174b goes to veterans per year. And rightfully so but it’s up to the rating official and doctors to make the decisions. Although, you can hire a company who sets up doctors to lie and get a %.
So, the system not the person is screwed up. Not to say it also doesn’t fall on the patient.

Why is it surprising? We are also jealous of people on food stamps and think that program is wasteful as well

These are true statements but you have to have a process to rule some conditions as favorable and not.
Posted on 7/16/26 at 1:48 pm to DUKE87
They have a process but much like everything to do with government it’s hard to navigate. If you don’t understand it. It can be overwhelming. And most veterans get mad and quit cause they don’t know how it works. Like I’ve said multiple times in this thread let me help yall don’t get mad get what’s yours!

Instead of arguing about what is current law you guys should be contacting your reps and elected officials demanding change. It would accomplish more than what’s going on in this thread. It doesn’t bother me one bit if you all think it’s unfair and should be changed, by all means go change it.

That takes work. Bitching is easier
