All furniture
Thanks Joe

Food shortages will be marketed as “government program to help address obesity and other COVID risk factors.”

I sold my couch when I moved. Went Oct-March until my new one came in. It sucked.

If it is quality furniture, then this is not out of line. 14 weeks for run of the mill…..let your fingers do the walking.

A lot of this we can blame on dumb frick Governors who are keeping people at home and off the docks. Gavin Newsom is the talk of the town in the Western US with anyone who is currently working and owns a business. Had a customer who went on the beaches of Long Beach with binoculars looking at a container ship off shore and they know their product is on it, but they have no idea when that ship will come in. They’re supplying the crew of the ships by speed boat. It’s a fricking nightmare at the docks right now.

I bought new outdoor furniture in the spring. Nice stuff with big cushions and a table with a fire pit built in, It took five months to get all the pieces. They delivered it one piece at a time. By the time I finally got the entire set it was balls hot and I haven’t been able to enjoy it very much yet.

Reminds me of searching for furniture and ended up dealing with Rooms To Go.. What a mistake. Took forever to get furniture and when it got there it was damaged (starched and broken). The guys actually took it off the truck all effed up and tried to bring it in my apartment. I told them to get it out of here. Rooms to go is a POS business. From order to delivery was about three months or more.. Then to get my money back was a year from original order.

The majority of the foam manufacturing process’s raw materials are sourced from foam suppliers in Texas and Louisiana. Most foam making businesses are located within a convenient radius of the few chemical companies that make the necessary ingredients for the foam.
During 2020 these chemical manufacturers and foam companies experienced three major setbacks that have created an increased demand and lack of supply for foam. The 2020 pandemic created a lack of supply much like many businesses.
In addition to the pandemic, the major manufacturers of cushion foam were also hit by a hurricane, causing multiple industries to need to temporarily shut down for repairs, only to be hit again by an unusually frigid winter for the normally mild winter.
Thanks to the unusually harsh freezing temperatures during the past winter, many places that manufacture foam cannot produce the foam in normal quantities. The harsh winter deep freeze combined with the shutdown from 2020has left the foam industry with a huge demand but no supply at the ready.
As the manufacturing companies scramble to get the much-needed supply chain going again, the furniture industry must wait patiently for the much-needed foam production to return to normal levels.

They've freaking shut the world down over this bullshite.
Thankfully the bed I wanted was in stock.
But I had to take the floor model of the ottoman I wanted or wait 14 weeks(yeah, 1st world problems) to match my chair.
If you follow the curve we are about to hit hard arse times.

I've bought a new couch, dining table, mattress, and bed set from Rooms to Go in the last 6 months. Everything came in on time and great quality. Delivery was seamless.

This was the case a year ago when I moved and bought new furniture.
6 months after I bought it, my new electric reclining sofa stopped working.
Been waiting since May for a part to fix it.
