Haven’t seen that yet... There was rumors it was a drug deal gone bad, which is what I thought from the start before they caught the suspects.

There is no humor in the story itself.

It's possible she didn't actually see who shot her daughter. She may have seen the white guy who was allegedly on the premises running to his vehicle and thought that he was fleeing the scene of the crime.
You don't know what she saw and what she didn't see. If she didn't see the shooter and saw the guy running to his vehicle (which would be a natural response for him given the situation) she may have thought that he was a suspect. It really isn't that far fetched.
And let's not forget that you just made up the "friends with the mom" thing out of thin air with nothing to back it up. You probably saw it on some weird alternative news forum and ran with it like it's fact because that's the type of nutjob you are.
