I'm not sure what dude wants the Party to do or say that would help.

I'd rather we spent time driving home the point that affordability has gotten worse because of democrat policies as opposed to the bootstrap narrative that clearly isn't resonating.

O.k., well, that certainly fulfills the lying part of the equation.

Problem is, the Republican Party has been in charge for two years. Who do you think is going to believe that particular lie?

These folks just need to cut the Netflix and stop drinking Starbucks.

Well, it would be a goddamed start.

I hate prices as much as anyone, but I also notice that the same people bitching about prices are the same people that eat out and doordash 4 to 5 times a week, have 3-4 streaming subscriptions, and always seem to have a $7 dollar cup of Starbucks caloriechino in their hands. If they thought last night was going to bring rent and car payments down, they're in for a big fricking surprise.

they're still a voting demo that you need to win elections.

I also believe both parties will start to focus much more on younger voters than ever in the past.

spend more time driving home the message that the printing and spending of money we don't have is the cause of the affordability issues, not an 8 dollar netflix subscription. Of course, the GOP needs to stop printing and spending money too.

But that’s an issue that’s hardly resolved by Dems.

Dems have convinced your generation that you’re poor, your prospects are shite, and it’s boomers fault because they stole your prosperity.

Facts say that younger generations are wealthier than boomers were at their age - using constant dollars.

That’s the challenge.

I mean, we can complain about all that or we can recognize that the left took you to the woodshed on messaging and now you get to watch them have power.

You haven't said anything that would move the needle in the sub 30 "demo."

I'm still waiting for your genius prescription for success.

Everybody gets free video games if you elect Republican candidates? Trump tried the bold faced bribe, it didn't work either.

"It's really the Democrats' fault" when Republicans have had Congress and the WH for 2 years?

Really? That's the secret sauce?

I don't get it but do kind of get it. I'm 35. Bought my first house in 2016 with a 3.75% interest rate, refinance in 2021 to a 15yr 2.375%. Bought a brand new truck in 2020 for under $40K. Upsized houses in 2025 with a 6.6% interest but could afford to because we had so much equity built up from the first house that sold for $100K+ more than we bought it for just ten years ago by just living in it.

If I was just a few years younger, it would probably be a completely different story. People in my same generation but only 5-10 years younger pretty much missed that economic window when starting their adult lives.

Net worth (wealth) isn't the same thing as buying power.

You sound like a screaming Karen after a mass shooting going, "We have to do SOMETHING! Common sense gun control!"

And someone asks you, "O.k., what do you propose that would have stopped this shooting," and she says, "I don't know, but we have to do SOMETHING! SOMETHING!"

Since that's true and you need young people to win elections moving forward, don't ya think you ought re evaluate your messaging strategy?

My discussions on this board aren’t part of a messaging strategy.

SOMETIHNG...WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!

Wait, let's just tell 'em it was the other guy's fault! That'll do it. They'll never notice that we were the ones in charge.

At first I thought you were serious.

I actually had a friend do this, wound up with a 500k home for 200k and owing a bunch of his friends favors

It can be done

Only a latte sipping soy boy would say it’s impossible

I never said it’s impossible. It’s just not feasible for the vast majority of people.

The singular reason a lot of things are more expensive is because of the Iran War.

If it ends next week, now you’ve elected liberals for the next two years.
