They are going out of their way to suppress Republican/Independent voters. Don't think it's going to work, particularly after this Kavanaugh fiasco.

So if independants are registering with equal numbers of Dems, how does that help the Dems again?

Please do. I'll be waiting to see your defense as to why the Democrats lost so badly after Red October.

Independents are going to overwhelmingly vote Republican you tard.

And I promise you, Republicans are very enthused and pissed off and will vote, unlike the lazy fricks on the left.

Doesn't the party who wins the White House and controls both houses of Congress usually lose one or both of the houses at the following mid-term?

If so, then this isn't news nor a referendum on Trump unless is is one of the follow:

1. A huge blue wave with significant changes in the House and Senate, super-majority numbers. This scenario is a definite referendum on Trump.

2. Democrats gain the House, Republicans maintain the Senate. Blue wave, even with the huge liberal slant going, is a ripple.

3. Republicans keep control of both houses. There is no blue wave. Americans have stamped "Approved" on the Trump administration. Democratic Party has serious issues.

I still think Trump has a chance at Virginia in 2020...Saying that Michigan and Penn are going to be toss ups for sure.

And for the current conversation. I'm betting the GOP does better in the house than a lot of people think. Not saying they keep it, but I bet they keep an overall majority (Senate+House).

Sept 17th-23rd. Give us the 24th-31th. Just a couple of small things happened in that timeframe that will make a difference.

So that's not based on likely voters and the Dems are only up 3 points? Not good for a blue wave or a blue trickle.

Considering the left has gone full-blown socialist, I'd be surprised if the Independents thought the Democrats spoke more to them than the Republicans at this moment in time.
