I'm not in Lafayette, but all my family there are huge Higgins supporters. I'd vote for him if I could. frick Angelle.

Brett Geymann was the best one in that race, sad he didn't make the runoff. Great guy, fiscal hawk. Angelle and Higgins are both terrible.

No argument. But, Ill vote for him over Angelle. Then, vote in someone else in 2 years.

Greg Ellison. Former military guy, successful businessman, never been a politician. Not sure why he got only 8% of the vote, but I guess people wanted a runoff between Snake Angelle and Cajun John Wayne.

Higgins's response to Angelle's latest attack regarding his child support lawsuit is quite good and to the point. I'm glad if anything, he's starting to rat the Jindal klan out. Something the LAGOP was scared to death to do.

Ok, you reminded me that I can't get myself to vote for Angelle. Higgins FTW.

Clay Higgins doesn't live in the district he is running in. He lives in Abrahams district north of Port Barre.

I voted for Ellison last week, but I will be voting for Higgins in the runoff. Angelle is a typical Louisiana Good Ole Boy who uses Huey Long style rhyming political speeches to sway the masses when he offers no solutions. He also endorsed JBE in the Gubernatorial runoff last year. And for that alone, I can't vote for him.

Anyone that does research on Higgins and votes for him is lying to themselves. He is a con man. He makes his own rules. The guy works for the city Marshall in Lafayette. He quit both the OPD and St Landry Sheriffs office when they had enough of his law breaking and decided he could have no more chances and metered out punishment. He owes $45k in back taxes and in emails requested in a FOIA by The Independent he was using his position in sheriffs office to illegally make money and wanted only cash payments. If his ex wife could only prove his deputy wages that jay be why she didn't pursue it. The independent broke these stories in the last 2 months.
