What did Trump gain in terms of vote by doing this? Was the net even positive?

Did policy advancement did Trump make by doing that? Nothing

Go re-read the discussion.

I’m reading the discussion. You’ve said he’s tried the same strategies since 2016.

I’m saying the candidates have changed so some if the attacks differ. But he’s also attacked the dem policies very similar. Like on the border.

What have the democrats tried differently? They tried to kill him, yes. But it’s the same as 2016, call him and his supporters racists.

Trump's hardcore base is not enough to win the Electoral College.

I voted for Obama in 08 and 12. No one in 16 and Trump in 2020.

As a moderate, I can tell you, that if someone votes for Kamala Harris, they are well below average IQ and EQ and have mental health issues to some degree.

Ok - I'm kidding. But seriously, kamala I'd the worst dem candidate ever. If there was ever a time to consider a different political philosophy it's now.

People are attacking Trump's campaign, but Kamala is sitting there like a cheer leader going yay white guys for Harris. Yay white chicks for Harris. It's beyond degrading and insulting to the public.

The candidates are irrelevant to this discussion.

The discussion is about pandering to black voters to expand the black GOP voting bloc. This is the third time Trump is trying this strategy after it was a big failure twice already. He has not learned that this is an inefficient strategy and resources could be used more efficiently to find actual populations outside of his hardcore base who may vote for him.

Why can't y'all discuss strategy without resorting to relational partisanship?

We are talking about Trump and his best strategy. What the DEMs do is literally irrelevant.

Why did he bring it up?

No. They had nothing after the debate because he intentionally did not do this personal attack stupidity against Biden.

That literally killed Biden's Presidential run.

What behavior?

Racial attacks, identity politics, personal attacks, etc.

Because I see Trump self-sabotaging by engaging in stupid strategy and inefficient behaviors?

Did you even watch it? He didn't pander at all, he defended himself from Kamalas pets' racist remarks.

Meanwhile, Kamala is running white guys and girls for Harris ads, and just got caught paying influencers and streamers to endorse her.

She's burying herself worse than Trump, and Trump is doing a good job representing the general public. The time of sitting there and holding the head up high and taking the higher road while racists accuse him of being racist is over.

I don't think there are really any swing voters. 99% had their mind made up before the campaigns started.

The question is - are enough people motivated to vote that are in each camp.

2020 - 66%% 81m v. 74m
2016 - 60% 62m v. 65m
2012 59% 65m v 61m
2008 61.5% 69m v. 59m

Non-responsive AND primarily relational partisanship. Impressive.

Go back and re-read the discussion tree.

Apparently focusing on nonsense that appeals to no one who isn’t already voting for Trump, like whether Harris is black or not and whether she won any primary votes.
