If the dem is out canvasing the streets for votes then the Rep has a chance...if he's running his basement campaign like sleepy joe then you know the fix is in and he has no shot.

Once a state goes blue, it never goes back.

They put their people into the needed positions

And to your point, no pushback means they’re emboldened

Youngkin till 11 PM when power goes out in Richmond.

Nah it will be another mythical burst water pipe that gets everyone sent home except a few very partisan Democrats who will then proceed to run the same McAuliffe votes over and over until he has the lead.

Polls close, tally done, mail-in ballots found in backroom to bring it home for the democrats.

Republican wins the real vote. Democrats win the counting contest.

What?

Every single state in the country has oscillated from red to blue and back, or vice versa, at least once in the last 50 years.

80% of the states have gone both red and blue in POTUS elections in just the past 7 POTUS elections.

Several states, including Iowa, Ohio, Florida, and North Carolina have trended significantly more red over the last three elections after being seemingly "lost" to the 2008 Obama coalition.

Just like they did for General Election they are brazen enough now to let us know exactly how this will play out.

Youngkin will actually win on Tuesday. They will be able to see how much he won by and this will provide them the 2-3 days they need to manufacture the votes needed in order to give Mc Awful the victory thanks to free-for-all mail ins and Dominion working “its magic”.

True Banana Republic stuff…….but here we are.

McAuliffe by 10 points. The polls are wrong.

They’re not wrong. They’re just irrelevant. It’s not the votes, it’s the COUNTING of the votes.

The time will depend on election day results. If it takes one or two days after for Dem to win then the election was close.
If it takes a week for Dem to win then Youngkin beat him by a lot.

I agree with everything here but I have to say that conservatives not just on board but in real life needs the win in Virginia more badly than democrats need it.

They are so disillusioned and they don't believe that elections are fair anymore and a Virginia win would be a great way to pop the bubble of pessimism that's gotten bigger since 2020.

Glib comments about dominion, fraud, and crooks are everywhere and have replaced legit handicapping a race.

Ballot harvesting over non-ballot harvesting. There will never be another honest election unless the Dims just get lazy, which actually is likely.

My previous post notwithstanding, Virginia should not be where people hang their hat. A loss by Youngkin is meaningless. A close loss is a win for the GOP. Virginia as a whole is in fact lost to the left because of the NOVA/DC explosion since the early-2000's.

Youngkin may very well win, but it will not be a sign of the state coming back to center. All states that happened to go blue in 2020 are not categorically lost, but Virginia specifically is. And it may be unique in that category, as I do not see WI, MI, PA, NH, etc. that way.

Right.

Poll came out and showed Murphy in New Jersey leading by just 4 points and he's losing his arse with indies and the only thing saving him is enough hard D's.

That's a very bad sign for democrats next year.

Virginia should unequivocally not be where people hang their hat.

Right.

It's states like Georgia, New Hampshire, Arizona and so on. Those are the real tossup swing states and where the hat indeed should be hung on.

Younkin may very well win, but it will not be a sign of the state coming back to center.

Right.

Youngkin may win but I doubt he has coattails big enough to carry the GOP nominees for LT Gov and AG over the finish line.

This was a very weird race with a horrid and terrible democrat candidate running the worst campaign possible and an amazing GOP candidate running the strongest and most competent campaign possible and even then, the best Youngkin can do is a 1-2 point win.

All states that happened to go blue in 2020 are not categorically lost

Right.

Virginia is blue as hell and while they may be flexible for a state election, a specific election nonetheless, they will vote blue no matter what at the federal level.

Tens of thousands of "found" mail in ballots are just enough to give McCauliffe the win.
