as far as I am concerned, there is no excuse whatsoever for accosting any person who is simply trying to sit and enjoy your meal. Whether you disagree with their politics, their skill as an actor, or their strange attire… Let them finish their damn burger.
As an aside, several years ago I was seated in a restaurant at a table adjacent to Phil and Wendy Gramm. He had been seated slightly before me, and they finished their meal before we finished ours. I waited until he was standing up to leave, then offered my hand, told him that we had met once when I was a student at A&M and he was a Democratic congressman, and that I appreciated his service to the country. He was extraordinarily gracious, as was his wife. We actually chatted for a few minutes about TAMU, which had not been my intent at all, and he introduced himself to my little girls.
After the Gramms left, my daughters asked me who he was, and I told them that he was one of daddy‘s teachers a long time ago.
