Older video but still applies.

Anyone who denies that the message from the mainstream media is coordinated and handed to them to completely control messaging is simply lying to themselves.

That is because too many stations are all owned by the same company.
Gray has a TV station in every TV Market in Louisiana now.
Nexstar has just as many except for Lake Chuck. They also have multiple stations in the same market.
Way too much consolidation going on in the TV business.
My favorite was when Conan would air stories that had the same news story intro that was written by their wire service and read verbatim.
Found a better one.

Continuing to further consolidate media (in all forms) into the hands of a smaller and smaller number of giant corporate umbrella companies is one of the greatest threats we face.
It should be questioned and fought against at every turn.

Or extremely dishonest or just stupid imbeciles.
Or both.

I think that thing was overblown. They weren’t reporting news in that instance. They were delivering a message on behalf of the owner. Naturally it was the same message everywhere.
If you own a bunch of TV stations and you want to advocate for your business on air or tout what you’re doing right, you have to mix up the message?
I guess they also should not bother doing commercials to promote their programming. God forbid they try to put out their own messaging.
(But but the point is how many stations are owned by the same people! Yeah I know. That’s its own problem. The video when everybody saying the same thing doesn’t affect the numbers)

And how else do you expect the conservative media to make any headway? Unless you like the status quo. Hard to tell.

Very few people on this Board deny messaging takes place. A country is endangered when the national press is overwhelmingly biased. Candidates aren't vetted. Etc. etc.

At one time there were some real journalists in the MSM, but they ran them all off over the last couple of decades. What remains are teleprompter readers connected to the DNC.

I wanted to add that it is so bad now. In places like Lake Chuck, there will be only one major TV station in the market controlling nearly all the networks. Gray owns KPLC and KVHP which control the NBC, ABC, CW, and Fox Affiliations. CBS is on some Low Power station.
Lafayette is in a similar situation Gray now owns KATC, KADN, and KLAF a low power station. Those three stations will comprise of the ABC, Fox, and NBC affiliations. Nexstar owns KLFY which has the CBS and CW on a subchannel. So there will be only two major station and station groups dominating the market.
New Orleans is just as bad with the Nexstar and TEGNA merger that will place WWL, WGNO, WNOL, and WUPL under the same umbrella. The FCC did stipulate that they will have to sell WUPL in the next three years.
Even though the deal has received federal regulatory approval, TEGNA and Nexstar are under a court order to operate the stations as separate groups until a lawsuit is resolved after several states and DirecTV have sued to stop the merger.
