Well. A few things.
1)Maybe he just wanted to buy some shite and this is what went down. If so, then yeah, if you've got some pasty liberal losing his mind to this point, you have fun with his pathetic arse.
2)Maybe he already knew this stupid employee would go bat shite. In which case, he DID "do some damage". Employee no longer has a job. Customer's complaint isn't with the shop owner.
So. Customer now can continue to frequent his shop of choosing without having to deal with nut job pasty liberal.

I would have fired the employee.
As a business owner the only loyalty I have is money. This could get out on social media and piss off 1/2 of my customer base.
