Cool. Keep us updated. Speaking of updates, you may want to go ahead and update your resume.
Childcare costs have been driving wage growth for the past five years at this point. You end up paying for it one way or another -- either through inflation or taxes. Take your pick.
I think this guy has his head all the way up his arse, man.

Can someone give a summary of why this thread went so long? What’s wrong with what he said?

The dimrats/progressive/Commies have mastered the art of projection - “out of touch with reality“, “weird“ and “sucking off” are terms which perfectly describe them and their actions

Are you shocked to learn that you have been paying for everyone else's kids the whole way along? Taxation isn't the only way to pass costs along to the general public.
If you need to go lie down for a little bit while you come to terms with it, I'll understand. Everybody needs to take a breather from time to time.

The policy is don't have kids if you can't afford them.
Would you own a tiger, if you didn't have the money for permits, the necessary space and land to keep it, the enclosure, the monthly food bills, veterinary bills, etc?
Edit: a child is a responsibility that you intentionally take on, no different than adopting a pet.

Copied from earlier thread because I'm not going to keep retyping the same thing - No one said that's wrong. If your family setup works for you, that's great. But you missed the point. The issue is JD Vance offering that as a blanket solution for millions of people who might not have that option or who have clearly already tried that option. It’s condescending to act like the solution to the high cost of childcare is just "ask your parents", as if that's realistic for everyone. We need actual policies to address these problems, not dismissive answers that overlook the bigger picture.

And he wants us, the US taxpayers to pay for his kid’s daycare.
And he denies that Governor Tampon Tim signed a bill requiring tampons be in all bathrooms in schools.

Not at all. Your point?

Pets don't join the labor force when they grow up and add to the country's economic productivity, so yeah, there is a pretty big difference between pets and children.

Probably in regards to DEI or laws against discriminating against transgender‘s

My summary is -
Everyone just keeps saying "then don't have kids" but then in the same breath they say that they want to focus on having families again.
Then they keep saying something about tampons being in the boys bathrooms in Minnesota, but no one will provide a link, picture, or any other proof that Minnesota public schools are stocking tampons in the boys bathroom.
There were 2 good ideas that I've seen so far after 15 pages because every right wing person is basically saying the same thing and just calling me a Marxist or Communist or saying that they are scared of tampons that don't exist.

I don’t think he even realizes that taxes probably paid for the paved road in the little podunk town he lives in, or that major democratic areas help fund the majority of public spaces in republican areas.
He probably also is too dumb to realize that Red states receive more government subsidies than Blue states. Again probably way too much info for his pea sized brain.

Complete lie.
He clearly said it is one of the things we can do. The. He started down another path for people that don’t have that option.
You figs are so dishonest. That’s understandable because you have no ability to feel shame. Therefore you can say anything.

This is going to go right over their heads

If libs didn’t make their life goal to reject everything their parents taught them, and move across the country and not speak to their parents anymore, then having grandparents help out wouldn’t be that hard.
